  1. I think the regulations apply to certain ports and areas like the fjords which probably don't get any international cargo. The cruise ships will just plan on a pre cleaning day at a port that doesn't have the conditions on it and perhaps do an overnight there.
  2. this thread has the information you seek, brace yourself they are pricey
  3. If they make 18 knots sailing back it will take 5 days so they need to leave the morning of the 7th to arrive in Auckland on the morning of the 12th. They are scheduled to arrive off Adelaide on the morning of the 4th so that gives them 3 days to clean AND get provisions at some port if needed.
  4. Turning out to be a repositioning cruise. What a shame to go all that way for that.
  5. 13-3 now might want to see if wild card game on …just trolling you might have jinxed them
  6. Does regent carry any local beers on board like steinlager or Australian beers in that region. I know they have tiger.
  7. Curious as we are going on a 32 cruise AKL to BALI, will they restock the two bottles in the room after we consume them? I would assume they would but just asking. My bottle of scotch probably won't make it that long.
  8. On our last cruise I'm not sure our butler read that as the fridge was stocked with standard items, the two bottles of booze however were correct. He did remedy that by days end.
  9. I wouldn't think the deviation would be a problem for regent to florence, but will require a connection. We looked at transport for our upcoming trip from florence to room - might consider a driver to take you hotel to hotel and stop along the way at basically your choice like orvieto, sienna, Civita de bagnoreggio, winery or a combination called " From Rome to Florence and other Tuscan Towns" runs about 900 bucks but save the hassle of luggage transfer on the train and provides a nice day of sight seeing.
  10. Do you get any other benefits with the FCC vs booking an actual cruise where you get OBC and the onboard savings on the future cruise TBD?
  11. I see where the Queens warf is - does east just mean it is on the east side of the warf - Is there a specific builing? Wonder exactly how far and complicated the walk is. I see the shed 10, ferry building and the cloud but wonder where the port building is?
  12. don't see one next to port - use google maps and search car rentals most look to be several blocks away. May want to just book a tour for the day especially if you are not very familiar with left side driving in the city.
  13. Just ten I'm a widower we did date and lived together for 5 years before we got married
  14. Having anniversary dinner at P7 3rd night of the cruise. Got DW a three-piece set of jewelry. Could they handle a request to bring out a piece at each serving (appetizer, main and dessert) on a small plate? If so, would I ask butler to arrange this or speak with the Maitre'd or someone else? I assume embarkment day they would be too busy to remember but would a day before work or same day?
  15. Regent isn't charged the 10000 they have a special fare worked with the airlines so it is best to book out 270 days with them to ensure you get two of those seats in that bucket. They should be able to get a nonstop out of IAD or certainly a one stop out of the east or midwest. Just look on expedia or something and pick out the flights you want and send to TA or regent. Don't worry about the price. We had similar situation on our flight to auckland as best price was over 5K and AC was 3500, But we got the flight we wanted with regent air.
  16. I thought that was clear since they would be joining us: "refer another couple to join us"
  17. They are very close friends/neighbors who own property in Belize next to us, and who are also going on a regent cruise with us. I am booking them with our travel agent so there is no gaming the system. In fact, Regent allowed me to get the referral made before my first cruise and applied it after my first cruise to my second cruise. So that is why I am asking as regent fully understood spirit of the intent and appreciated the extra new members. Perhaps SS will I'll ask my TA to check.
  18. Does SS still have a referral program? Not sure if I can use it as we are going on our first cruise in May and I would like to refer another couple to join us.
  19. I suggest a call to the ships management asap!
  20. EWR-BCN is united and JFK -BCN Delta or AA return: VCE-JFK Delta and VCE-EWR united are the choices depending on who regent has contracted seat availability. If you flew out of MXP ( post cruise train to milan and spend a night or two if you have time will give you more options including Emirates. You should look at the deviation to ensure you get some flights you might want.
  21. The A350 has the new club suites big improvement over the old club world seats. BA - The Club - Fly in style in the new Club Suite
