Flying ARN to Heathrow and on to the USA 11:20 am flight business ( mid June.) We are Staying at Hilton Stockholm Slussen. Is ARN really crowded? Is Arriving 3 hrs before sufficient and how is the traffic getting there via car. I saw the express train but with all the cruise luggage would be a big hassle.

For men, this means a jacket, tie optional." First time on SS (14 nights Southampton to Copenhagen-Norway Fjords.) I have been on Regent a few times, but I understand SS is a little dressier. I see the Bow tie on two nights of the itinerary - which is formal - I get that dinner jacket tie, dress pants. However, they don't specify the informal nights so do they tell you on board? We have a reservation for DW's Birthday at La Damme which isn't on formal night, but I assume like on Regent people most likely get a bit dressier for the specialty dining. The other 10 nights seem casual but in the cooler weather I'll probably throw on a white casual jacket or sweater. DW is so much easier though she will have lots of sweaters on as she gets cold often. Just confirming so I don't look out of place. TY

Agree on the canal cruise day 1. really aren't going for rides at Tivoli just the atmosphere and food and see the lights. Taking the train to Stockholm on the 17th figure some nap time there.

Sounds good thanks. If we don't get to chritiansborg the first day we can try in the afternoon on one of the others as we will probably be back by 3 or so each day. might opt for one of the canal tours on the 14th.

Our ship (SIlver dawn) arrives at 7 am June 14th. I'm assuming we can be off the ship and catch a cab between 830 and 9 am to the villa Copenhagen hotel dump our luggage and go see some things. My goal is to see Rosenborg, Amalienborg and Christiansborg on the 14th. Is that possible to do in one day? I am prebooking the ticket to Rosenborg for 1030 am. We are staying 3 nights june 15th we are going to Roskilde and the 16th to Hillerod via train so we have some afternoon time those days tivoli on the 16th in the afternoon and eating there for the light show. We have the Copenhagen card with the rail.

I would book the air upfront you can always have it removed if you find something better - if you add it later it might go up.

dynamic pricing is eating miles. Regent DOES charge a deviation fee of $175 pp if you request flights or change dates. Even with that fee I found their fares to be better so long as you get a reasonable flight plan.

Agree, I book the air on international flights at least I know the max fare I'll pay. I start looking at flights using miles and fares 330 days out. If I find an award or cheaper fare on a good route the air credit (factoring in deviation fees and transfers.) I have found regent has pretty good fares especially since many are two one ways or multicity.

Could do it after sept cruise. Might have to expedite it. We have a home in Belize so we send our PP to the embassy and it gets renewed in about 3 weeks. Not so fast in the states though.

The new passports off a large book with 50 pages at no extra cost so request it with the new one. Just a box to check.

As a result of the Auckland Bali debacle, I'm trying out SS as the price point on the Norway cruise on the Dawn was too good to pass up. I am committed to the voyager October cruise though regent changed the itinerary from Venice to Rome saying Voyager needed dry dock in Rome for a few days. However, it seems to be sailing the next day now, perhaps another management deception. Either way I convinced 3 other couples to go so plans are already set. I cancelled our February 24 HKG to Tokyo cruise as I didn't want to get locked in with final payment and air if the Voyager experience is another dud. Pending the outcome of the SS and voyager experiences I will decide on the remaining 3 Regent cruises and un-booked OBS Future cruise. After our first Regent cruise, we were gung ho. After the last one while on board crew was good the management handling of it was very disappointing.

Setti mare changes out several of the items and pastas. They also have different items on the antipasti bar and desserts. I enjoyed all the venues. On days we didn't have a specialty reservation we would look at the menus and decide on Compass, Setti or Room service.

look at google flights to give you an idea. what month are you going. EVA has a one stop each way in TPE for 4900 might be cheaper than air credit. EVA is on Air Canada program i believe. the may not fly every day but if you have time stay in Bali and extra day if needed as hotels are relatively cheap as are tours. I wouldn't even worry about the transfer as it is cheap to airport.

As long as it is in the same region. We wanted to fly back from Singapore instead of Bali and they said asia was a different region as Bali (ocenaia) and wouldn't do the deviation.

True but they would save a lot in the long run and increase customer satisfaction. They should do a cost benefit analysis.
