So flyer talk is a good site for flight questions, but here goes my options. Here is what I have gathered NOT to do: A) Don’t fly Air France or KLM B) Don’t fly into Amsterdam, Charles de Gaulle, or Frankfort C) Don’t change airlines at Heathrow - I would agree 1) Did I read correctly, that if we fly from SFO to Toronto, and from there fly to Barcelona (all on Air Canada), that we don’t have to go through customs and immigration in Canada? Correct 2) If we fly on British Airways to Heathrow, change planes to fly to Barcelona on British Airways, do we have to go through customs and immigration? - They have a transit area but you will be security screened again but no customs or immigration. 3) If we fly as said in #2, would a 4 hour stopover be enough time? - Should be ample 4) Is the Munich airport okay to fly into?- Yes I like it. 5) If we flew into Munich on United, would a 3 hour stop be enough time to change airlines to Lufthansa? From what I understand, we would not need to go through customs and immigration in Munich because Germany and Spain are both part of the EU. - yes but you will go through customs as both Germany and Spain are schengen countries so if you go to one go to all. 6) Delta has flights from SFO to Atlanta, but you need to change terminals (I gather from domestic to international) to get the Delta flight to Barcelona. How much stop over time would we need for this? - they have a rail that connects the terminals . Should have plenty of time. 7) I assume that stopping and changing planes, not airlines, at JFK and Newark is a good way to go. How much time should I allow between flights to ensure we make our connection? United has flights that would get us there anywhere from 2.5 hours to 4.5 hours before the connecting flight. - ample time usually 1 1-2 hrs is sufficient but with delays due to fog at sfo more time is fine as you can relax in the business class lounges 😎 Does anyone have any experience with Tap Air Portugal airlines? They fly from SFO to Lisbon, then to Barcelona. - I have not. 9) If taking Tap Air, how much time is needed for a stop in Lisbon? I am assuming there is no immigration and customs because it is in EU. You would go through immigration and customs in Lisbon not barca. Depending on how many days earlier you are going you might consider getting across the pond first. If your plane is delayed for whatever reason and if you at airport like LHR you have options for more later flights to Barcelona whereas if you miss the flight at jfk, Newark Atlanta than you probably flying the next days flight. Personally I would try to go on the afternoon BA flight, it’s the new individual suites…. just my opinions and experiences for what they are worth.

I was just going to ask that question as we are on grandeur and have turnaround day in Athens. We will probably book something in case there isn’t anything offered.

Uber does not operate in Denmark. Depending on the hotel location at taxi is probably more affordable as most of the rides aren’t far. You could price a private car but if figure it wasn’t worth if for a 15 min minute ride for us.

So I guess they are working on the SJ train tracks when we are there so a 5 hr. trip to go to Stockholm turns into 8 plus hrs. to go to Stockholm with changes. So, we are going to fly instead. That said how long is the ride to CPH airport on a Saturday morning, what is the taxi fare and how early to arrive for an 11:45 am flight to Stockholm. Thanks

We just received our electronic ticket. Where do we get luggage tags do they do that at the port on SS?

I thought ss was like regent and served vero water onboard. It is very refreshing and you don’t waste all the bottles. But they may.

Departing May 31st on the SS Dawn which shows at birth 101 city cruise terminal. We are at the Leonardo Royal and maps shows a 7 min walk. If the weather is nice, we probably will walk, however is the Gate 8 open for passengers or do you have to go to another gate?

If there is a charge - I'll see what it is as I can pick up 32 of them at most any grocery in Southampton the day before departure for about 28pounds.

Yes shiner is the beer of Texas now! though there are a lot of microbreweries like Franconia that are good too. What beers do they have on SS. On regent I usually had stella, tiger, erdinger or Sapporo (and Sake) in the Asian restaurant.

I must say the Maitre'd our butler and waiter Romeo all nailed let me call you sweetheart like a barbershop quartet (minus 1). Romeo sang in Crew Kapers "Leader of the band" and even opera quit a talented voice. If you are on Explorer, go see him in the show!

Sailing on Dawn in June. DW has a few questions: What brand products are on board shampoo/soap/lotions? Do they have complimentary bath salts or similar in the room? Is the make-up mirror magnified? Do they have amenity kits with qtips... Just so we don't overpack and bring stuff they have. I just want to know what beers are on board but I'm sure I'll find a few that work.

They will if you ask request it. We had a great anniversary dinner at Prime7. Our butler brought in a piece of a jewerly set with each course. The made a great cake and had a trio sing " let me call you sweetheart" at the end. Our waiter was a great singer and sang in "crew kapers" and his name is Romeo. Made for a great evening. On birthdays our Bulter/stewards decorated the room.
