  1. We are going in May '23 out NYC. Was planning on coming in a day early and staying at the regent hotel. How do they transfer you from LGA or EWR to the hotel and is there a long wait after your flight?
  2. I think they charge around 500-550 a night for another night at the lotte palace. While that is expensive it is in the range of most other hotels in the vicinity.
  3. I believe they will make several of the dishes from pacific rim and chartreuse if requested in advance or offer on menu on some nights
  4. Once I get settled and all the kids and grandkids leave my house I'll give more detailed impressions of my first regent cruise. Overall it was great and the itinerary was nice. Mix up the excursions or all the castles and churches may look alike. If you are a history buff do go see the tank museum in Bovington, it was an excursion from Portland stop.
  5. On our recent may 21 cruise, I believe it was the landmark in London. If you go a day early go see a show - we saw "Wicked" There are excursions from southhapton e.g. stonehenge, the tank museum
  6. Ok I see. we filled out the midway survey but was not aware the online had to be done onboard. We didn't have any internet the last port day which was day before it was over. We had signal block by the British military base we docked at. Between being busy and no internet that day I probably wouldn't have had time. I assumed we could fill out when we got home.
  7. Just got home from splendor may 21-june2 after our post cruise jaunt to Ireland. Will do a review when I catch a breath. Overall was great experience. They mentioned there was a commentary you can fill out post cruise online. Does anyone know how to access it?
  8. 1017 ph b has an extended balcony on splendor
  9. When you selected them you put them in cart and have to check out even if they are free
  10. I just checked my flight and American added a nonstop dfw to Auckland and I was rebooked on that either by American or regent. Long flight 15 1/2 hours but I’ll take a non stop any day.
  11. saw a discussion about lack of sake a while back…. Can’t find it while on iPhone but I can confirm they had sake cold or warm in pacific rim. Food was outstanding.
  12. Glad we came 3 nights early after the flight and getting into London and worrying about the test, yesterday was a waste. At least we could relax at the pub near the hotel and have a few pints before an early evening as I don't sleep well on planes. Today a little overcast but not bad day for some sight seeing and taking the girls (DW and her sister ) to harrods.
  13. yes from inspire just log into zoom call from the email on phone and it was pretty simple. Guy was friendly too - takes about 15 minutes 2 min for the test and then wait 10 minutes then they send you email.
  14. Just flew over to London for cruise on Saturday and just passed our inspire covid test!
  15. DW would like to know if there are magnifying makeup mirrors in Ph suites on splendor .
  16. I'll have to try that, love souffles and make them myself often.
  17. I have same issue_ on the main manage booking screen it shows "complete on line reservation" shouldn't it read "completed" I went to the next page and it says complete for each item and boarding passes "sent" kind of a cut and paste: January 26, 2021 Deposit Received. January 21, 2022 Final Payment Made. Guest Registration, Health Attestation & Ticket Contract Complete. May 21, 2021 Shore Excursions Booked. February 20, 2022 3 of 3 Dining Reservations Completed. April 30, 2022 Complete Online Check-in.
  18. Are the thermal areas on splendor, explorer, co-Ed and require swim suit or separated. Deciding if I need a swimsuit (Uk Ireland) don’t think we will be sunning by the pool much.
  19. WOOT! WOOT! IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR UPCOMING CRUISE DATE OF ISSUANCE: MAY 6, 2022 Dear Valued Guest and Travel Advisor, We have updates regarding relaxed local COVID-19 health and safety regulations for European sailings with regards to face-coverings and COVID-19 booster requirements. Please note that these policies are subject to local oversight of authorities in the jurisdiction(s) in which the ships are sailing and are subject to change. Face-Covering Policy Face coverings are now recommended but not required for guests except when the ship is in Greek or Italian ports. In these ports guests are still required to wear masks onboard while indoors, except for when actively eating, drinking, exercising or when in your suite. In addition, local authority health and safety protocols require guests to carry FFP2/KN95 masks to visit Greek or Italian ports. Crew members are still required to wear masks in all public areas at all times. COVID-19 Booster Requirement For voyages sailing in Europe, as per local regulations, a COVID-19 booster dose is now only required to embark and sail on ships that visit a port of call deemed to be in the Mediterranean. Though we strongly recommend a COVID-19 booster dose to sail, all other voyages in Europe do not require them. Ports of call which are deemed to be in the region of the Mediterranean include but are not limited to the countries of Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey. 21. Just got this and it seems pretty stupid considering UK and Ireland (the only ports) don’t require masks nor tests either but yet we get this. Come on regent use some sense on this! Hopefully this is just for EU show (and I know Ireland is in the EU) and the crew just ignores most of this. 3) Face Coverings At this time, based on current EU Healthy Gateway guidance, face coverings are required onboard while indoors, except for when actively eating, drinking, exercising or when in your stateroom or suite. Face coverings are also required for a staff member to enter your suite. We will continue to provide updates based on EU Healthy Gateways guidance.
