  1. Another fantastic report, as always Harry. I will be looking for your next installment next January. By then, I may have two more lives under my belt. One will be a family one, when we take all our grandkids on Utopia, along with my daughter and her husband. That will be a different type of cruise for us, having young kids along. Then, we extend our Florida time to take our California grandson to Disney parks for a week. Lots more planning to do for Disney, so I may tag you for a few tips. Second live will be the new Sun Princess which we are on the first sailing after new year. Hopefully their disastrous launch will be far in the rear view mirror by then. Have a great time on your NYC vacation with the family.
  2. What it looks like at my house, so far this morning. It is 32°, with a winter storm advisory. One last chance to go…..
  3. That is what I hated, when I went to have a heart issue evaluated. Four different appointments, and was seen by four different doctors. And it seemed like they never read your file before you got there, and didn’t listen to what you told them. At least not until the 4th one. Hope that is the one I see for a follow up this year. No worries, I have been having an extra one for your sacrifice. Bloody Mary What is left of a kraken colada tonight. This last part was in reference to you giving up alcohol for Lent.
  4. Don’t tell me there are any downsides. I have one of those booked, although it will still be 302 days before I can report on it. By then, I trust everything will be running smoothly.
  5. Congratulations on the block. Maybe some day, we will get one for a ship we actually sailed.😂😂 Thanks, Lenny. Who do you think I am, Jack Benny? Thanks, Maryann. Wishing Jim a happy birthday too. Hope your cruise is great. You know what they say…… Thank you, John. Happy birthday to Caden. Happy birthday to Keith and Michael also. Wasn’t that underwater place at Clifton Heritage? I looked at that as a possibility to take our family when we are there in August. Problem is, both Susan and I are too old for the snorkeling there, and our grandkids are too young. No one under 12 or over 65. Thank you Andrew.
  6. Thank you all for your birthday wishes. For some reason, that NUMBER this year is bothering me. It also appears that my friend Daryl, on FB has a birthday today also.🤣🤣
  7. Thank you Dani. Nothing wrong with your math, it is today. I have a meeting tonight, for a government board I serve on, so we celebrated early on Saturday night. It appears that Daryl is alive and well, and he appeared on the cards the grandkids made. I think our granddaughter is excited about sailing on Utopia, because that was also on her card. A nice cake. and a nice meal, cooked by Susan. I know I am several days behind, but I hope to catch up soon.
  8. I saw that today, so now I guess I will be on the 5th sailing of it, instead of the 4th. Everything should be at 100% by then, and I hope everything is at 100% when we sail on Sun. Of course, they have had lots of practice with Oasis class, so there should be no problems.
  9. I don’t see any drink holders on those seats. Is that typical?
  10. Harry, if you follow the trail in the opposite direction to the one you show. (In red on this), it takes you to the dragon’s breath rock formation. When the waves hit the mouth, it sounds like a dragon breathing.
  11. Hey, that’s my cabin next January. We usually make sure we have passenger decks below and above, because they will not be subject to that noise. I don’t foresee the noise being a problem in this cabin.
  12. Were you able to get an Uber XL that fit all of you, plus your bags? We have ordered XL’s, and some that show up would not fit that many. Maybe you know a secret way to specify the number of people and bags. If so, please share that secret. By the way, congratulations to Rachel. Looks like you all had a great time.
  13. Agree. Wonder if you can at least request chairs with a reclining back and footstools? I know I will request when we are onboard. We have done that on other lines, and they have brought them. Even got a couple extra loungers brought in when we had an oversize balcony.
  14. I can see the video fine on my iPad. Just a note to people that post videos. If they are shot with an iPhone, typically the video will be a mov file. To make them compatible with most devices, it is better to convert those mov files to mp4.
  15. That doesn’t look good. Any report on what caused it? We had the cabin next to us on Coral flood. They moved all the furniture to the balcony, and they replaced the carpeting.
  16. I was sorry to read of the passing of your friend in Michigan. Prayers for the family. May he rest in peace.
  17. We have a Sony TV, and haven’t had any problems with it. I just checked the date on the TV, and it is 16 years old now. I keep waiting for something to go wrong, so I can justify getting a new, bigger one. My son bought his Sony the same year we did, and no problems with his either. Of course, we both paid much more than what current prices are.
  18. According to this excerpt from a Princess press release, it appears you can only book if you are on the first three sailings. ———————- Sun Princess guests sailing on the first three cruises can now book dining reservations in Horizons Dining Room, Sabatini’s, Crown Grill, Kai Sushi by Makoto, The Butcher’s Block by Dario, The Catch by Rudi, Umai Teppanyaki and Umai Hot Pot. In the coming weeks, all guests sailing on upcoming Sun Princess voyages will be able to book additional dining experiences. “With its unrivaled blend of creativity, quality, choice, and expertise, Sun Princess will set a new standard for food and beverage excellence,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises. “Food and drink excellence is synonymous with experience excellence aboard Princess ships.” Delectable dishes are found throughout the magnificent new ship, with an astonishing selection of 30 new and signature dining and lounge options offering everything savory journeys and entertaining eats to sumptuous sips and satisfying snacks. Not to be outshined, Sun Princess elevates the main dining room experience with a three-story Horizons restaurant boasting stunning aft views that serve as the perfect backdrop for unforgettable dining moments.
