  1. My day so far today. Took our daughter out to breakfast this morning. She has a few things on her agenda today, including filling out an application for a new cat. Grandson is not quite ready for a new one, because the loss of Lucy hit him really hard. Susan and I stopped and got our flu shots before making our drive to Erie. We were going there to take some groceries and lunch to her sister who has Covid. Just dropped at her door and left, because neither of us need to catch it right now. We did our shopping at Wegmans. I really wish they had one close to us. We use to shop at the ones in Buffalo and Rochester NY, when our son lived there. I guess when you get this close, you are in Bills country. Driving home now, and seeing some examples of people not remembering how to drive on snow and ice. Several cars off the road and in the bushes.
  2. Hope you got there early enough to get loungers and an umbrella. They are pricy there.
  3. Bob, thanks for the great review and great pictures, especially those from Hawaii. Brings back some good memories. I think that one picture you posted of the beach with the arch along the Nāpali coast, is the same beach they set us down on, on our helicopter tour. Thanks for taking us along.
  4. Yeah, then the next thing you know, you are watching this DVD
  5. Since we may be traveling to Erie today, I thought I would check the traffic cameras. Looks like most of the area got a decent coating of snow, but traffic seems to be moving ok. I am not ready for this.
  6. I woke up and looked out the window, and said “WHAT IS THIS S***?” That’s right, it is SNOW!!! I made a little snowball to bring in to Susan. Now it is up to 33° and it had changed to freezing rain.
  7. Seven pages in, and I don’t know how I missed the start of this. Oh well, I am adding one more LIVE that I can’t keep up with. I like the drink list. It is great to have a goal.
  8. That’s why I like our zoned heating. Three thermostats in our house, so we keep bedrooms a little cooler. Other areas set at different temperatures.
  9. I think I may have a photo of me from 2006, pulling a heaving line that was attached to the mooring line of the Serenade.
  10. I have really been having trouble keeping up with this thread and the LIVEs. Today was a day for errands. Lunch today. It was cloudy, windy, and a temperature that said feels like 31°, so it was hard to get motivated to go out for a walk. But we did, and saw this. IMG_6105.MOV I think if I would have stood there long enough, she would have walked up to me.
  11. One thing you didn’t mention, is that you can use the Starbucks app to pay for your drinks at Starbucks on the ship. You will also earn stars, but you can’t use stars on the ship to pay for the drinks.
  12. Greg, that is such a wonderful story. I am sure Elaine was glad she met you and Linda, and that she was able to share remembrances with you. I wish you and Linda a happy anniversary, and many more.
  13. I think it was one of the Oasis cruises we did last January, they were still using those horrible paper straws. Anyhow, it was interesting that we saw the captain’s officers getting handfuls of the Starbucks straws every morning, and nothing else from there. They must have hated those paper ones also.
  14. Now I am getting confused between your thread and John’s thread, with who is eating what meals. All I know is it all looks good, and it is making me hungry. I think we will have hibachi for lunch today. 😋
  15. Yes she is. I think it is aggravated by her asthma. Her temp is down to 100.4° this morning, but she still sounds like crap.
  16. I have found that to happen when I have several tabs open. I have found that hitting the refresh on the page will correct the problem for me. Although, refreshing the page will sometimes then show me as logged out, and I need to log in again.
  17. I probably would have picked the “Island Time” one. Last time we were in Honolulu, we hiked from the Duke statue, up through the tunnel, to the top of Diamond Head, then back to Duke’s for some Hula Pie. Hope you got to have some while you were there.
  18. Greg was posting some pretty good Starlink numbers from his cruise. They must have it up and running on his ship.
  19. Those numbers from Starlink look so much better than what we have been getting on their ships.
  20. So did they recommend you put a screen over the intake, to keep leaves from getting sucked in? Happened once to us, on a holiday weekend, no less. We have a screen on ours now. When you said work station, I was envisioning new computer with multiple large monitors.
  21. She has good days and bad days. Taking things a day at a time. Thanks for asking. One of Susan’s sisters tested positive today. Surprised this is the first time she got it, since she is an RN, and has worked at the hospital all through the pandemic. Fever of 104° and trouble breathing. Not sure what strain she got, but she just got the latest booster a couple weeks ago.
  22. That looks so nice. Much better than the 36° and rain that we have this morning.
  23. @Luckynana. Maryann, sorry to hear about Jim. Glad he got good care, and you are home now. Can’t believe how many pages this grew overnight.
