  1. We had the same table every night in the Boticelli on the Ruby, and we still had to stand in the line (the long, long line) every night. If anybody else was able to just walk in, then I'm very happy for them.
  2. I've eaten in both, but not on the Crown, so I can't comment on decor. I was always choose Da Vinci over Botticelli, because of the inadequate waiting area outside the Botticelli. It was a total mess on our Halloween cruise of last year on the Ruby. Others have not had this problem, so it might have been a one-off. But moving forward, I'll never choose Botticelli again.
  3. We also have a cruise next February, and it's not been an easy task to find acceptable flights to and from Sacramento and Fort Lauderdale. I ended up canceling EZ Air and booking flights with the airline, which I know doesn't help you. The only valid input really have on this is that every time I've adjusted flights on EZ Air there was a cost difference, sometimes a huge cost difference. I think that $870 pp additional is an extra huge difference, but that might be what it is. I wish you luck.
  4. I'm very happy that you were successful! Sometimes persistence pays.
  5. They definitely need to clean house in their website department. Sorry you had all these woes.
  6. Since the restart, we've cruised four times. Each time I chose an arrival time, and only once did anybody pay any attention to that. You probably ought to just show up when you planned to, and that will probably work just fine. Probably. Things have been a bit chaotic.
  7. Mini suites are definitely not included in this scenario, and I find this weird. Did you choose an arrival time in the app?
  8. No matter where I go, if I carry a purse it's a very small cross-body. That's what I do when leaving the ship. On the ship, it goes in my left side pocket just like at home. I practically live in Land's End sport knit pants. I have these in all the lengths they sell, and the side pockets are big enough for my cellphone.
  9. Cruisedeckplans.com has complete deckplans for the Discovery and all the others. Also, the front-facing cabins on Lido and Marina have larger balconies, although those come with considerable wind and steel instead of glass for the guardrail fronts. Front corner CC minis on Marina have enormous balconies that extend out over the bridge.
  10. It works for me in MS Edge. What browser are you in?
  11. Gosh, I don't know about this. The OP said "guest laundry facilities will be suspended until further notice and bed linen and towels will only be changed on request. The self serve laundrette is also closed." Doesn't that look like Princess won't be doing passengers' laundry as well as self-serve being closed? If that's the case, then I don't see how a long cruise would be feasible.
  12. Do you have an arrival time? If not, you should get one just to be on the safe side. I'm not sure they pay any attention to that at all, but we've had the first boarding group each time anyhow. I can't remember anybody ever asking to see the QR code on any of the cruises we've been on since the restart.
  13. I would go for the forward facing mini like a shot. We were on the Discovery in August, in M107, which is a different layout but has part of its extra large balcony facing the front. I was definitely able to sit out on the forward portion of the balcony during fjord day. It does get pretty windy when the ship's at some speed going from one place to another. One thing to be aware of that won't keep us from booking a cabin in that location in the future is the fact that if it's foggy and the fog horn is sounding, you really hear that sucker.
  14. I'm a big fan of the egg drop and the paper airplane contest! Yes, they're silly, ridiculous and childish, but they're also very popular with a lot of folks. I especially like the egg drop when the person running it gets everybody chicken dancing between drops.
  15. The last one I got didn't go into my local spam folder. l logged into my mail server setup at my hosting provider, and there it was. I don't know if you have access to non-local spam folders, but if so you could check there.
  16. Sorry this is happening to you! I've never seen anybody here say that this is possible.
  17. I probably am not jumping ship, but I'm certainly looking at options. 😃
  18. We love the front corner cc minis. They have a much larger than average balcony, with the ones on Marina being really huge. Also, the layout of the cabin works better for us than other categories. There's a good separation of sleeping area from the rest of the cabin, which is good for us since hubby gets up way too early. The only downside for us is that if the fog horn is sounding all night you really hear it in these.
  19. They show non-dairy in online shopping, so I guess they got that figured out. https://smize-cream.goldbelly.com/ But it says "sold out" so maybe it's just a placeholder?
  20. The "no brainer" part was said in the context of the new ice cream that they're going to be offering. That brand does offer dairy free, vegan flavors, so it seems to me that it should be simple for the ships carrying this option to order some dairy free items. These days, many manufacturers off this, Ben & Jerry's for instance.
  21. Boo! Hiss! I'm an early to bed person, so I have no idea what's available where any time after dinner. Room service?
  22. In that case, maybe the new ice cream option will work out well for you.
