  1. That's me in Alaska. Whiplash from all the rubbernecking.
  2. This link is to the free portion of the site: Cruise Deck Plan Database and Pictures (cruisedeckplans.com) Go there and follow the path to the ship you want. There's a row of tabbed links near the top of the page, and one those is Ostr-View. That's where you want to be.
  3. I've had some pretty bad fish and chips in the MDR. The pub lunch fish and chips is always so fresh-from-the-fryer, and you don't usually get that in the MDR.
  4. The ISO certified, cardboard framed glasses are fine. They haven't caused us to go blind yet. But do make sure you get ISO certified. They have some solar viewing binoculars on Amazon that I'm considering, since there might be Bailey's Beads, and I'd like see that if possible without going full-on solar telescope setup. Not sure the binoculars would be good enough. Research project.
  5. In 2017, we still had ours from 1991, but I didn't trust the mylar coating. I thought it might crumble if I so much as breathed on it. So, I ordered new ones from Amazon. The came in a box that was about three feet long. One little packet rattling around inside with the cardboard glasses in it. I think somebody punched the wrong code for shipping them, and the shipping department just followed orders. Was ridiculous.
  6. I just went and looked in the place that I thought ours should be, and they were actually there. Surprise, surprise.
  7. Excellent information! I suspect your suspicions are correct.
  8. Good question. Not sure we can get an answer yet, but I'd like to know that too.
  9. I read this and read the linked article. My knee-jerk was that it's fine for people who want to do it, but we probably never would. Explained it to my hubby, and he actually thinks we might do it! Go figure on that. I was sure he'd be against it.
  10. An RV trip to Texas was our alternate plan B if we couldn't find a cruise that didn't cost an arm and a leg. So happy that Princess stepped up with one.
  11. Somebody said that Princess has supplied eye protection in the past, but we'll be bringing our own anyway just in case.
  12. Honestly, I've been throwing them into the drawer in the printer stand, along with some other things I don't know what to do with.
  13. I'm really sorry you had all this happen to you. Shouldn't ever be this way. 🥺
  14. My hubby is a way-too-hot sleeper, so he always asks for a blanket instead of the duvet. We've always had a top sheet.
  15. Thanks for the info. I know about the huge balconies on Marina, since we've had that. Wasn't successful in getting one for the eclipse cruise, but I feel very lucky to have scored one on Lido. We love the layout of the M6 minis.
  16. I was lucky enough to get L107 for the eclipse cruise, and I'm wondering about the forward-facing part of the balcony. Can you tell me how far the overhang overhangs?
  17. He's done that, with no success. I imagine he'll keep trying. 😀
  18. I have a question for you. The forward facing part of the balcony of L107 looks to be partially covered and partially uncovered. About how much is covered? 50%? More? Less? Thanks for any info you can offer. 😀
  19. I think so too. Wonder who will get bumped.
  20. We booked EZAir for a Seattle roundtrip. Outbound flight is on Alaska Air, and I got an odd/funny email from them this morning. They offered us $35 each in future travel credit to switch to another flight. It would take a much better offer than that to make it attractive.
  21. Breadsticks are my hubby's favorite, and they've been missing in action the last few cruises we've done. Hopefully, they'll be there on the Discovery next week.
  22. I would and I do, if I have the opportunity to do so. I don't always have that opportunity.
  23. Well, I agree with that somewhat. No worries about asking that if the bread basket isn't on the table when we arrive. But nearly always in the past, the bread baskets were already on the table before we were seated. Problem not solved. Got an easy solution for that? 😂
