  1. Showing ignorance here, but this is the first time we've used EZ Air. If I look at our travel summary, and I see ticket numbers, then it means the flight have been ticketed? We're 33 days out, and I see ticket numbers for both outbound and inbound flights. Also ignorant question: when checking in for the flights, do we do that on the airline's website or in some place I've never seen in Personalizer?
  2. Bummer! I always get that appetizer. And whatever the beef is and then souffle for dessert. Start the cruise off with a bang!
  3. All I can say is that I've seen folks getting turned away at the MDR for wearing shorts to dinner. But not lately.
  4. We just got our first shareholder credit, and I didn't send a form with it. What I sent was a two page pdf via email. Send it Friday afternoon and got the credit Tuesday morning.
  5. I've said this already in several other threads, so anybody who's seen my rant about the Botticelli dining room should skip this. 😃 We booked the Botticelli dining room for our cruise on the Ruby last Fall. Same 5:00 time as you've booked. Never again. The waiting area outside the dining room is small. Many, many people had also booked 5:00, so it was very crowded. Very, very crowded, and that was the case for every night. First night, we got a really great table for two and really great waitstaff, so we asked our waiter if we could be assigned to that table for the remainder of the cruise. He checked and told us it was done. But we still had to tuck into the line that snaked back and forth in that way too small waiting area. There was a Princess employee, who we dubbed "The Line Wrangler", who herded everybody into the line and kept some kind of order. We agreed that he had a worst job on the ship and that he was doing the best he could. But he wasn't letting anybody bypass the line, even if they had a table waiting. I'll never book at a dining room in that location again on any ship.
  6. I don't know if all the times on all sailings are the same, but my arrival group A is 11:00-11:30 for a Seattle departure on the Discovery. You can get to this in the app by following this: Personal Information scroll down to Suggested Arrival & Departure Groups Select Property Arrival and Departure
  7. I wish you well with that, but I very much doubt you'll be hearing from anybody.
  8. Have you called them and asked? I know calling Princess these days is a super daunting task, but it's always said that "them that asks, gets."
  9. Deal breakers for me: no working plumbing and no water in the ocean. Everything else, I can work around.
  10. That sounds like a really nice day you have planned. 😃
  11. When we went on the Majestic last August, we also flew Southwest. We had a 10:50 flight, and were unable to use Port Valet since for Southwest flights have to be 11:00 or later. Not sure that's still the case, but heads up if it applies to you.
  12. I don't know that I'd miss it, but I do enjoy the skywalk. I like looking down at the water, and I don't find the balconies interesting.
  13. Best wishes and hopeful thoughts!
  14. Wow! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of this. Is your aunt okay?
  15. I like the new ships just fine, and, in fact, our favorite cabin is only on the new ships. But we chose the Diamond for a cruise this November. We've done the Mexican Riviera many times, and the last few we didn't even get off the ship. I've always wanted to do a Sea of Cortez sailing, and the 7 day on the Diamond fit the bill for that. There are some advantages to the older, smaller ships. The main one of those for me is the full wrap-around Promenade deck. I love walking laps on that. The best walking option on the new ships is the track up top. Not a bad option, but it is completely exposed to whatever weather is happening.
  16. All of ours have automatically added themselves, but the timing for that seemed to vary.
  17. Inflatable wedge pillows would be a lot easier to bring, and those work very well.
  18. We probably should give Celebrity another try too. We only sailed with them once, and while it wasn't a disaster, we were completely underwhelmed. The cabin was nice, but the food was disappointing. The best thing I had all week was braised shortribs, and the waiter tried earnestly to talk me out of it. 😂
  19. I would probably book L249 over L229. My only reason for saying that is that we were under a pool once and there was some noise in the wee hours when they were cleaning and running the pump. L249 is just under a changing room, so I don't see how that could be noisy in the middle of the night. We're going to be on the Diamond for the first time in November this year, and the lack of the IC is a bit disappointing. I've looked at deck plans, and I don't see anything similar.
  20. We encountered a big con with the Boticelli on the Ruby this spring. There's not enough waiting area outside the restaurant to accommodate all the people who show up at once at 5:00. It was an absolute zoo. The line snaked back and forth in the small lobby area. There was a line wrangler guy who herded everybody into line. After the first night, we had an assigned table, but that didn't help. We still had to line up like the rest of the herd. If it hadn't been such a great table and wait staff, we would have bailed and taken our chances getting reservations at one of the others. If you like to eat later, you might be okay there, but definitely not if you prefer early.
  21. Thanks! I'm a happy camper. 😃
  22. I think I shot myself in the foot (again). With the stock price so low, I thought this would be a good time to buy the 100 shares and get the onboard credit. So, I bought the shares. But now looking at the rules in the annual report, I see that casino (don't care) and gratuities (do care!) are excluded. I should have read that more carefully before moving ahead. Really, the only reason I was interested in this was as payment toward gratuities. We don't buy the upgraded pricing, since we don't drink alcohol and don't care about photos. Is it really true that you can't use the obc towards grats?
  23. I went ahead and plugged in what the form wanted, so my access is also back to normal. I did this since I had second thoughts that it's really not uncommon to force an account update. People have changes to location and/or phone number and don't remember to update everything.
  24. That's my thinking as well. I'll try again tomorrow and see what I get. Bringing up the app works fine.
