  1. We only book mini suites and we gladly pay a higher fare than for a standard or deluxe balcony. For $120.00 I would run not walk! Lucky you!
  2. John Candy and Eugene Levy, such brilliant comedians! Never missed SCTV…..thanks for the memory!
  3. Definitely, ask for a new CVP. Ours is wonderful and she has been there for us for many years. Don’t settle for someone who just doesn’t get it done.
  4. I would think so, too. Makes shopping very expensive. I’d rather just pay it myself to be honest.
  5. On Princess private island, yes you can use your drink package, However, you cannot, at this time, use it for complimentary drinks in any port. You can purchase some things at participating stores using the Medallion, but not familiar with all the rules.
  6. Now, this is a gentleman. How can anyone not be impressed by a man who really cares about his appearance and, despite what others say, he also looks quite comfortable. Thank you, sir!
  7. Thanks! We sail in September, so we’ll see what happens.
  8. Quiche, almond croissant and vanilla latte for me. DH has the same, except with black coffee.
  9. From my experience, Princess will credit your original form of payment in approximately 10 days, including your deposit and anything else you pre booked and paid for. Some people have reported that it takes longer.
  10. Totally agree with you. We haven’t sailed in the Caribbean or Alaska for over 12 years after almost 40 voyages. Of course, back then there was a dress code which was adhered to. We now sail predominantly in the Med, British Isles and other parts of Europe, where passengers do tend to dress better. On these itineraries I’ve never seen any gentlemen present themselves at the MDR wearing inappropriate attire. Not necessarily tuxedos, but suits and ties or nice trousers with a jacket or sweater, most with ties, but not all. Certainly a different mentality than many gentlemen in the US.
  11. If I could afford it! I’m retired, so 51 days is a bit rich for my blood! It would be fabulous, though!
  12. We recently booked Majestic Princess TA July 2025 Southampton to Boston visiting Iceland. Great itinerary, but the 51 day 2024 is appealing. Hmmm……
  13. I would be afraid, very afraid of arriving the same day as the cruise. All this money on cruise fare and air fare and excursions, please try to book one night hotel in Southampton. Fly to LHR, take the comfortable National Express Bus to Southampton and stay one night in one of the many hotels very close to the pier and cruise terminal. We’re staying at Moxy. You will enjoy yourself pre cruise so much more. I can’t give you any advice on flying in on embarkation day.
  14. A dozen very handsome and appealing and oh, so attractive guys! The dudes in shorts and t shirts, well, not so much. I see them at the gas station everyday.
  15. Love that song…..showing my age, right! A sharp dressed man has always gotten my attention (including my DH! lol) and they still do!
  16. I think the OP was hoping to make it special for their anniversary. He’s probably aware that dressing down is now acceptable. I commend him for wanting a more memorable experience, especially for his wife who is probably dressing to the nines. If all men only realized how appealing they are when all dressed up, they might do it more often. To each their own.
  17. You would have to bring your own. Princess no longer offers this service.
  18. Following, as we’ll be on this itinerary in September. We’re also in a mini suite, but on deck 16, Lido….our absolute favourite! Anxiously awaiting your weather report, as it seems cooler and wetter than expected. We’re planning on packing for all possibilities! Have a wonderful time and thanks for sharing your adventures!
  19. This was previously acknowledged in post #13, but thanks.
  20. And, Canadian Juno beach Normandy, flanked on either side by the two British beaches. Everyone seems to focus on just the American beaches, unless of course, you’re Canadian or European.
  21. My DH and I always sail in mini suites and yes they are larger than standard staterooms. However, I would not want 4 adults to share it, but that being said, there are mini suites that do accommodate 4. You can have two twin beds, one on the sofa bed and one in the overhead berth. Not all mini suites have the overhead berth, so you will need to research which ones will work for you. If you don’t mind cramped quarters then you should be okay.
  22. Yes, you are so right! Thanks for reminding me….my bad!
  23. You beat me to it! You’re right on. Only M1 is Reserve Class.
