I've been searching rome hotels just because I'm ancy. Putting in 1 pax and several hotels have french beds. I googled it and a french bed is 1.5 size of 2 twins pushed together. Smaller, though I'm sure still enough for 1. Never heard of French beds before. Got a lot to learn. People say book direct but prices are about double what I see on sites like Priceline. Is Priceline really that bad for booking in rome?

All these people calling seems like just tying up the lines. The phone people dont know and if they did cant tell you the plans for this. People are calling before there is a plan announced. Waste of time imo.

I saw united from LA to Japan horrendously oversold a flight and was thinking of you. It left the same day you did and was over sold by 50 seats. They were offering up to $1500 to give up your seat to japan.

I'm just so amazed that you all can plan so much in such detail. Like flying in and catching the correct train and catching the ferry to your hotel. So many details. Are you staying there for a while. I googled it and it says sun rise and sun set is glorious there when the tourists are less early morning. I know you love sun rise pictures. How did your back like sleeping on the floor, or almost. Wow., I'd like to try those oysters. What a treat. I saw the huge spread for dinner. So many things to try. Please keep us filling in.

My other friends stayed near those tivoli steps. So now I'm undecided which is better. I want to see both areas.

I agree with the post above, the TA back to the usa wouldnt be until fall sometime, not august. At the end of their summer season in europe.

Lol where I'm moving I have my eyes on a nature preserve. 4.8 miles in, 4.8 miles out. That's too far for me, I'll have to build up to see the rest of the preserve. I'm looking for birds.

Anything after april 2026 will be another year. Are you wanting early 2026? It's only been a few months since they release may 2025 voyager. .. I'd say a long wait.

A port official said this fall. So one of you is wrong. Time will tell. It's good people are so sure things will get fixed fast.

I've been kinda looking, but may 2025 it's too early to pick a hotel, just window shopping, I have over a year. I've been looking on Priceline and a few hotels sites at some refundable hotels near the steps. The steps seem to be near a lot to see, though I'd like to see the Coliseum. My TA cant see the price yet for air 2 sea, or transfers should I want to book thru royal. .. june lol. In a few months I can book. If I need help I'll ask closer to then.

Idk if it was the weather or people didnt all get the message Panama required a passport to board the ship. Up to 1500 didnt make the cruise. Carnival did wait until a few days before final to change its mind saying we did need a passport. They should have known. So dream which might hold 4600, 1300 to 1500 didnt board. No elevator lines. Food was pretty darn good at every meal. We had the new menu items. You could do mongolian wok and maybe a line of 3 people only waiting. I did turn diamond and got a letter for a free steak dinner but I didnt go.. 19 kids onboard, very few. Lots of mobilized scooters. One of these yelled at me for boarding a elevator before her. I just planned on getting on and holding the elevator so she could board. We ran into each other the next 2 weeks and I tried to pretend I didnt see her. She did get nasty. I guess she uses her hc for attention. But other than scooters vying to get into elevators was a good cruise.. My alaska cruise was also called a journey cruise. We had a nightly naturalist. You could get your free laundry. It was all high levels about 1500 to 1600 so they could change priority to just diamonds imo. Instead of no one gets it.

No I've stayed close to home when my parents were alive. This will be all new ports, both legs I signed up for and the days after the cruise should I spend it in rome or athens. Right now 2nd leg has a port stop in athens but ends in rome. Some I talked to booked 3 legs to end in athens. No one ive talked to has been on a TA or to europe. Not a clue. The blind leading the blind. Solo no less so just me planning and doing it.

I'm doing the may 2025 ta rcl voyager and 2nd leg ends in rome. If I do 3 legs it ends in athens greece so I came here ro decide if I'd rather end in rome or greece.

Royal is also considering fewer ports out of florida. For instance no Bermuda, you have to take celebrity to book the new dates. Royal is doing shorter cruises with fewer unusual ports, not more. They are maybe saving on fuel. I have adventure booked out of pc 3 times, had to look to see when you were saying it's also going out of calif. I see navigator instead ok.
