  1. Greg, thankful all is going well for you. It's great you have good hearted people working with you too! That is always a blessing. Keep the therapy going.
  2. I don't remember a unanimous vote with that many still remaining. The way it went down was so cool. I guess you could almost say 2 unanimous votes in one night.
  3. What the picture doesn't show is how much the driveway is lifted at the entrance to prevent rain water from pouring down the driveway. We may be able to get over it if we hit it at a good angle
  4. Thanks for mentioning this. I have considered a converted Toyota Sienna. The biggest problem is our driveway is slanted and lower vehicles can drag when pulling in and out. That is why we drive taller vehicles like Highlanders. My DD has a Sienna and has always parked out front. I need to see if she can pull in at an angle.
  5. Thanks! It is here and I love it. It already shows I have rode it over 6 miles. What is real nice is that I can ride it to the garden. The only trouble I am having now is finding a carrier to haul it around. The one we tried this week is not working. The wheelchair is 430 lb and many carriers have a 350 lb limit.
  6. Looking at the dates makes me think you will be squeezed for time to get back and cruise on Icon with us! 😆 Glad you are planning a fun adventure! Are we going to be able to follow along?
  7. We had about 130 show up last night and we eventually ran out of candy and turned off the lights. It was kind of weird. There was about 4 waves last night with about 20 minutes between each. When the 5th wave started we were out of candy.
  8. What I use is a Widex TV play. It does not stop others from hearing the TV. Sharon sets the TV volume to where she needs it. I adjust my hearing aids to hear the Widex device. I think this device just works with Widex hearing aids but I bet there Re simular devices.
  9. I have a Bluetooth device that is hooked to the TV and plays the TV into my hearing aids. I can even mute the TV and still hear it through my hearing aids.
  10. Yes it is. It works great for the new wheelchair! My SIL knew another therapist that worked with other guys to build ramps for people. All they ask for is the cost of supplies. We were able to donate extra to help someone that may need a ramp but couldn't afford the cost of supplies. It was so nice of them.
  11. Now that a ramp has been added we are down to a one car garage which is fine because we mainly only use our Highlander. Our truck is now kept at my DD's house.
  12. Crystal, obviously I am slow to catching things. I would of never caught on if you didn't post on Dani's Thread. I know you're strong and will hang in there. Wish you were sailing on the Inaugural Icon cruise. We are trying to figure out who will do a live review.
  13. Sorry to hear that you are going through this Crystal. You know we all would be willing to help you out if needed. Sounds like you are keeping a positive attitude.
  14. We were in our 1st accessible room on the Voyager a few weeks ago. It was nice! Our cruise friends were in a Jr Suite and size wise there was not much difference in the 2. Our TA a while back was able to switch our future cruises to accessible rooms except for the Icon cruise. Now Icon is accessible. So nice, so thankful!
  15. Greg, this week went so fast! Thanks again for taking the time to do the review. I know it takes a lot a you take it to the next level. Have a safe trip home. I hope you knee surgery goes well. To the other CCers, thanks for sharing. It sure is fun cruising with others from CC. A few of us will be getting together on Icon! I hope all of you have a safe trip home!
  16. Great News!!! We were assigned our balcony room this week for the upcoming Icon cruise 🛳. It was a great ovb with a large balcony, C3, on Deck 7 but we had concern if an electric wheelchair would fit. Yesterday our Great TA found us an accessible room on Deck 12 not far from the elevators. No more concern! BTW, what is cool about the elevators, there is a large circular area where 12 elevators open. So when waiting you have access to 12 different elevators.
  17. We have done Wonderland a couple of times. Like @Sunshine3601 said, let your waiter know your likes and dislikes and they will do you good. I am surprised that almost everyone is saying Mexican night but TOTALLY agree. Skip Mexican night.
  18. Icon Inaugural cruise is showing Hideaway for $88.99! I will hide away from that.
  19. That would be nice to be able to leave the house and be on a cruise ship in less than an hour no matter the size. Have a great time!
  20. It was easier than when you used magnetic hooks???? Hard to imagine it would be easier. We didn't have to go behind the tv, didn't have to tape it to the carpet and have a bump. Never came close to tripping over it. What problems did you have with the magnetic hooks?
  21. Thanks for doing the experiment. I have always heard about this trick but did not realize how much of a difference it can make! BTW, I will take this time to thank you for those with rooms near you, Thanks for doing the experiment with your clothes on! 😆
