  1. It was offered to all guest as advertised in the Insider. It was executed perfectly and I was amazed this morning when I was told it was their first time doing it. Hope they do it again.
  2. Good morning. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful blue sky day with temps in 70’s. It was a perfect evening for dining outdoors. They set up white linen tables around the pool and served a set meal with a choice of beef or fish. Great meal, perfect service. The crew is a perfectly in sync team that love their job. Yesterday more lectures from naturalist and oceanographer and just enjoying a beautiful day. Seeing Easter Island because of its ties to Chile we remain on Eastern time. That will start to change after our two day visit. We endured watching the magician and called it an evening. Taking my beloved birthday gal to Aqualina tonight. So far clothes are still fitting. Those daily walks and exercise are helping. We have had wonderful camaraderie with fellow guest who are well traveled with interesting backgrounds. Looking forward to our last sea day before Easter Island. We have traveled well over 4,000 nautical miles since leaving Port Everglades and many more to come. Thanks for the report and post. Bruce
  3. A wonderful evening Al Fresco by Onward pool tonight. A set menu with fish or beef. Really enjoyed and no extra fee.
  4. Had enough they had two tables. One in Aqualina and one in Prime.
  5. Last night’s Arabic Chef’s Table on Onward was very good.
  6. On Onward we have Star Link High Speed and so far we have been able to Face Time, watch streams and even watch our church’s on-line services.
  7. Good morning. Just getting up and around. Another sea day. Our Arabic themed Chef’s dinner was superb. We followed dinner with the evening show which was two soprano’s who did some great mostly operatic arias. Have not read the Insider yet to see what’s on the agenda for today. It feels like the ship is riding a bit smoother this morning but definitely know we are on a ship at sea. In need of coffee so will head up to Windows (Lido) and join early bird Sue. Tomorrow we will celebrate Sue’s birthday as we sail at 15 knots toward Easter Island. Jacqui thanks for getting the Daily started. Enjoy the day. Bruce
  8. @atexsix Bruno sorry to hear about your Dear Dad. We all have to eventually go through this and it’s not easy. Dad’s go but wonderful memories and lessons they taught us are forever. 🙏
  9. Good morning. Still have enough movement that one knows we are at sea. Lot’s of staggering folks around and one could not believe how our singer and dancers could perform all their moves in last night’s show. We dined in Aqualina last night and enjoyed a wonderful meal with exquisite service. Tonight we dine at Chef’s Table and the theme will be Arabic. We have had this themed dinner before and it was a favorite. Went to a class yesterday on using your smart phone camera. Got some great tips. Looking out our window I see gray skies but a few openings of blue. Maybe it will clear and we can have some pool time. Star link has been good enough that we have been able to FaceTime with family. Hopefully, we can worship with our church online services this morning. Headed for coffee. Have a great day. Bruce
  10. The Eme Term wristband is more advanced than standard acupressure bands. We are swaying pretty good right now but the electrical pulsations I’m feeling on wrist is sending messages to brain which in turn sends messages to stomach not to get sick. Not sure CVS has them but Google Eme Term motion sickness bands should pop up. I have two so I always have one while one is charging. People with pacemakers should not use.B.
  11. Good morning. Just waking up and ship movement continues. The ship is only 30,000 tons whereas I think Prisendam was around 37,000 tons. Sea legs are improving epand my Eme Term pulsating motion wrist band stopped a moment of queasiness yesterday. It beats taking meclazine all the time. We enjoyed a typical sea day. Lot’s of things to do. Art instructor, Bridge Master are available, trivia, lectures and of course a good book and naps. Lot’s of flying fish yesterday which brought on a variety of Boobies and other bird species. Had an enjoyable dinner at a eight top table with some very interesting fellow guest followed by Captain’s Toast and later a guest comedian. By now we are getting adjusted and settled into life at sea and we love it. Thanks for the reports and post. Prayers for those in need and wishes for great weekend. Bruce
  12. Martin and Roy should still be here. I believe Eric returns in April. Dress has been the usual country club casual. Looking forward to seeing you and Bill again. Bruce & Susan
  13. Lot’s of discussions but no announcements. One discussion floating around ship is that they would fly us ahead and a minimal crew would take the ship through Red Sea. The other would be Africa which would really change the itinerary. The majority of us on full voyage are very well travelled and flexible. Will just have to wait and see.
  14. Segment 2 will take us to these ports of call. Easter Island is about a fifty per-cent chance but we are there for two days. We have some movement today from our 3-5 foot swells. Off to another lecture.
  15. Sorry to hear about your DH needing a valve replacement. Had my valve replaced in 2016 and it definitely improved my overall being. Bruce
  16. If I could use one word to describe our 1st segment of the world voyage it would be perfect. We enjoyed our overnight in Lima and are now on our 2,300 nautical mile sailing to Easter Island. Martin Lawson and Roy our Cruise Director and Asst. CD boarded yesterday replacing Eric. When we started the cruise there was sadness onboard with Captain Carl and Eric both losing their father’s right before the start of the World Voyage. Their loyalty to duty prevailed. Our census has increased this segment from 530 to 597. Off to trivia. Life is good on Onward.
  17. Good morning. Just getting up after staying up too late enjoying our opening show at sea last night. I should have followed Sue and called it a night after our specialty restaurant dining. Haven’t looked at Insider yet but I’m sure there are lots of choices. First choice will be coffee. Other than lectures my main choice is to get into my next book. The Kindle is loaded. Thanks for the Fleet Report and thoughts and prayers for those in need. Have a great day. Bruce
  18. Thanks Sandi for the info on this ship. Rest assured we are having a outstanding cruise and lifetime experience.
  19. Lines down on our way 2,300 nautical miles to Easter Island. The Peace Boat is in port. Love Sail Aways. The new Filipino band that boarded today is very good.
  20. Good morning from a gray foggy morning in Lima, Peru. Actually according to locals it’s like this most of the time. So I was glad that we had such a sunny sail in yesterday. Last night we went on a private Gourmet food tour in Lima. We dined at four different venues. First was direct waterfront where we enjoyed Pisco Sours and several appetizers of which one was ceviche. Peruvian custom is to eat seafood only at lunch to ensure its freshness. Our next stop was a famous restaurant where celebrities, statesman and royalty have dined. Around ten of us sampled just about every appetizers on the menu were sampled. Now I’m starting to get full. Two more unique venues and we returned to ship and caught the end of a colorful Peruvian Cultural Dance show. Some bags lined the hallway which brought smiles knowing we have nine more segments to go. We sail at five for several sea days to Easter Island. Thanks for the report.
  21. Best wishes on getting a new job that you will enjoy. Bruce
