Good morning. We had a busy day after embarking. All bags arrived and one still needs to be unpacked.There is a total of 530 guest onboard on this first segment to Lima. Today is a sea day as we sail to our first port of call Cozumel. Enjoying our coffee outside at Sunset Verandha were we enjoyed a red ball sunrise. They have a busy day scheduled for those on full voyage. Guest Lecturers and tonight is Captain’s welcome and guest tenors will entertain us. Temps in 80’s and sea has a slight chop enough to know your cruising. Roy thanks for taking our departure picture. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce

We have started our World Voyage on Onward. 195 of us are on for the full voyage and the first segment to Lima has a total of 530 guest. All our bags arrived including two we forwarded. Still have one to unpack. Busy day ahead with scheduled events and getting the cabin ready for long haul. We are in our happy place.

Good morning! Our day has arrived. Onward has arrived. We will register in the hotel and will board buses around 12:30. Only thing we will have to at port is go through security. The dinner got moved indoors last night after it got pretty windy and cold. The staff scrambled and it went well. The band was a bunch of old rockers but they had the place rocking and folks up dancing. Azamara had some of our key crew members at the event. They were just as excited as us. We cruised for fourteen days last year on Onward and I was surprised when the Hotel Director recognized us and came over and greeted us with hugs. She will be on for entire cruise. Time for breakfast. Thanks for the report. Bruce

They are setting up for tonight’s World Cruise Gala. Looks like the rain is gone and we will be enjoying cocktail’s, dinner and music outdoors. Dress is Coastal Casual? There are about 200 signed up for full cruise. As a bonus I get to watch the Zaandam Sail Away.

Good morning. We had an enjoyable evening meeting some of our fellow world cruisers. Currently enjoying a beautiful sunrise here in Fort Lauderdale with a current temperature of 63 F. Not much planned for the day. Will check out the provided Continental breakfast and have a relaxing day enjoying the resort. Tonight’s is the pre cruise Gala. Supposedly our Captain and Cruise Director have left the ship and will be joining us this evening. It’s all coming together. I believe I solved my photo posting problem. It seems that I had not synched my new I Phone 15 and I Pad. @kazu Jacqui Thank you for getting the Daily started. I’m sure Redneck Bob will have something to add about today’s drink of the day. Good morning! I slept in as that won’t be the case tomorrow. Our ride to the airport is scheduled for 4:30 AM and our long awaited adventure begins. House cleaners just arrived for a final cleaning. Lunch out because no more meals here. Do hope everyone had an enjoyable New Year and 2024 will be kind to all of you. Off to some small chores. Thanks for the Reports and post. Bruce

I have two ladies from Michigan and one alumni pharmacist so I’m fine with the results.

This 4.2 lb. Canadian female lobster photo did not print earlier. She was humanely disposed of and was delicious.

Happy New Year everyone. We had a great lobster dinner. One of lobsters was a mistake on order and weighed 4.22 lbs.! I put a pretty good dent in it but some will become homemade pizzas topping. The other two Canadian lobsters were two pounders. After dinner we watched A Walk In The Woods with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte. The book was so much better. Everyone of us went to bed at our normal times happily knowing we made it to another year. We were going to make homemade pizzas but neighbors invited us to a pizza party at their house so that will be our New Years dinner and celebration. It’s time for another cup of coffee and a homemade maple glazed scone. Enjoy the day and may 2024 be everything you wish for. Bruce

We are getting close to embark for a 156 day World Voyage on another cruise line. We have no clue what will take place on our voyage through Red Sea and Suez Canal itineraries . One thing we do know. We are going to have a great cruise experience.
