  1. The source is a PDF file, and for some reason, this forum doesn't support the loading of attachments - I could load it, but I am the only one that will be able to download it, but you can try clicking it. I will also try to add them to the Princess forum thread if they are not already there. AU25-2626RWCAUDStandardFaresasat13Nov.pdf Mini-Brochure_25-26_AU_3.0.pdf
  2. That is very general. I am not a P&O fan and have put a line through them when they decided to add a $10 charge for eggs benny at breakfast this past year. Whether I like it or not, people will still sail them, as not "everything" has an extra charge. They also have the goodwill of having the only ships sailing year-round from Brisbane. P&O doesn't get deserted over the summer and Royal has enough trouble filling Quantum over those months, with several cruises discounted below their intended pricing. When they can make that profitable, they will consider extending the season. I don't want to over-simplify it, but a short QLD pub test via some mates from Brisbane. How much is it going to cost me per day? (Royal is dearer) How much is a stubbie of XXXX going to cost me? (they won't cop paying over $10 per stubbie) Only when Royal can win those questions, they are in the game for year-round out of Brisbane. Add in the sticking point for $US aboard, and that the majority of P&O passengers can survive without soft-serve & pizza.
  3. I haven't crunched any numbers - but am hearing the launch prices are a bit more exxxxy than the 2024/5 release.
  4. Copy/Paste from the 2024/5 launch. We were given a flyer when we checked in for Majestic a couple of weeks back - it listed Salty Dog and Botticelli dining room as open for lunch. The maître d just shook his head as if to mumble idiots, took a picture of it and walked away to solve. Why waste the leftover flyers for Grand Princess a couple of weeks earlier, when you can hand them out to Majestic passengers.
  5. Brisbane is struggling to fill Pacific Encounter at present, and Carnival have canned tentative plans to base a ship year round. Not that long ago (2020), they were going to have Spirit in Brisbane year round. I think it would be great to have at least a Radiance class year round from Brisbane, but they would be already be making plans and talking it up if it were about to happen. The media and public officials spent a couple of years scaring away the fringe cruisers.
  6. It reads as if they will charge you for both a test and a consult.
  7. I won't know for sure until Boxing Day. Similarly, Spirit is in our past and we are about to try Splendor for the 1st time. I am expecting a busy ship. I have been given some useful tips here - As far as I am aware, one dining room is fixed dining, the other is anytime dining. That is just what I have been told, and I don't know which is which. I believe they have an Ol' Fashioned BBQ on deck 10.
  8. And covid is rising now all the cruise ships are back ... just sayin'. In a similar vane, I think this was starting to brew as the ship was crossing the Pacific.
  9. I keep a wide eye out for Azamara. Not so much for Artania, as I see her as a classic big ship and a very different experience. I think I would prefer English speaking, and would be more of a chance to book something on Fred Olsen For clarity of history, Artania wasn't detained. That is the stuff that occurs when the ship owes money, and this was very much the opposite. Artania was the petri dish ship that WA tried to ban from entering Fremantle because of covid cases aboard, despite International Maritime laws that gave them the necessary access to medical attention. Yes, she had an extended stay in Fremantle while crew members recovered from covid off the ship in hospital isolation, but that was the ship choosing to wait.
  10. Here are the newly listed schedules. I have cropped the width to try and maximise the viewing of the dates and ports. Prices have been chopped-off accordingly. There are 6 individual images, hopefully zoomable.
  11. The writing could be on the wall. We are both getting a booster jab at the end of the month to give us every chance of resistance for the remaining cruises of the season. And by the sound of the gastro thread, we won't be anywhere near the buffet which is pretty normal for us anyway.
  12. I also have the same info from my T/A today. I am pretty sure he does wash, but not from the same agency. I am a little surprised with the teasers coming out within 24hrs of P&O and Carnival loading their 25/26 schedules. It is almost as if Princess wanted to drown out any publicity from their sister brands. Princess doesn't want to launch till after Cyber Monday, while P&O and Carnival will be using those sales to try to bolster their launch. Sorry Melbourne, but like Fremantle, it was use it or lose it. Adelaide misses out too. They will place their ships where they can make the most profit and their overseas customers are overwhelmingly wanting to cruise from Sydney.
  13. Also doing that in 2025, and we are looking forward to it.
  14. It will be a good fit for Brisbane, even if it will seem like a downgrade. Also nice to have a different ship class than Sydney for a bit of choice.
  15. Take care. Personally, I think any ship that doesn't provide free screening tests for cabin contacts has rocks in their heads.
  16. I knew much of the free screening tests had been dropped. What surprises me though is that if you have tested positive, it is in the ships' interest to be regularly screening your partner and providing free testing. Have you self isolated based on self testing, or has Princess asked you to isolate? I am wondering if they accept your self test, or if they want to charge you for an official test before they will isolate you.
  17. They are starting to put teasers out. True, nothing available yet.
  18. Plus, I believe Princess has added another 6 months as well, and Discovery Princess is fully official for 2025/6 season.
  19. I suspect that is standard across all ships. The protocols have gone, and you are correct to wonder wed-thurs-fri happened. The same will also apply if you want/need anti virals. They will not be free or even PBS subsidised and you are not supposed to be able to get "in case" scripts for it either. Just make sure your insurance will cover the cost, which is now no different to any other travel ailment.
  20. Not necessarily at bargain prices yet. Both P&O and Carnival have just released their 2025/26 Australasian itineraries
  21. I agree, it is all getting dearer except for shared bathroom 🚻 places that are less popular than years gone by. Rather than just light rail, heavy rail & ferries all link easily to Circular Quay which offers heaps of alternatives - Macmahons Point, North Sydney view etc. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder though. The above is great if budget is the main priority. Sydney Harbour is magnificent to spend time overlooking it, if that is important, and being close to everything maximises the limited time a traveller might have if on their only ever visit to Sydney. A Quay Grand harbourview apartment is about as good as it gets if the budget allows. For the OP, until I know what is important to you, I am only repeating what I like instead of recommending what I think you might like.
  22. Reasonable price, reasonable quality, reasonably convenient?
