I hope the news turns out not to be scary.
I’m sorry y’all have to wait 2 weeks to get the results. That happened to me, too.
Speaking of tattoos, a friend of mine went to have an MRI and they couldn’t do it because her eyebrows were tattooed on. Metal filings in tattoos.
Thanks.

@ownedbypets my DH would not sleep for two weeks if that happened to him. Sorry you are going through this stress. Hope he gets good results in a fortnight.
Thanks. There hasn't been much sleep here so I'm calling the DR to get something to help.

Lenny, best of luck.
What I like about Tony is that he isn't a cheerleader of any one cruise line. He really seems to tell it like it is. He gave a favorable review of his Virgin Lady cruise which surprised me. I have read on a few different occasions that the food is outstanding.
I'm assuming Tony lives near me because I see him or his wife at the grocery store quite often. I was also happily surprised with his review of Virgin voyages as I have a mother/daughter cruise on her next month and I just made all of our dinner reservations.

Wishing him the best.
Certain Dr's offices will never upload results till after your follow up on the mri. But some will.......patient's rights and all that legality.
Thanks!

My husband had to prep for a MRI that he had done last Monday. Clear liquids for 24 hour and then an enema the morning of. Last night the patient portal showed his results. We tried reading, our daughter that is an oncology nurse tried helping and my husband then googled it. I told him it was a big mistake and to close the laptop. He called the office this morning and was told he has an appointment already scheduled in 2 weeks to discuss the results. Why would they give you the results knowing that it's only going to cause stress? But we did learn something new. They ask if you have ever gotten a tattoo in prison because most of them contain metal.

Growing up in FL my parents made sure we could swim before our pool was built. I learned to swim at the Hall of Fame in Ft Lauderdale. At the end of the lessons they let us jump from the high dive platforms and I clearly remember it even though I was only 4 years old. Our kids started swim lessons at 2 years old and our dogs were shown how to get out of the pool, in case of emergency, as soon as the came to live with us. Every cat that we have had has fallen in but gotten out before we even saw them. Just a flash of a soaking wet cat running through the house.

Obviously we like RC as we have cruised with them almost exclusively for 20 years. Next month I'm cruising another cruise line that is very different than I am used to. It is also free. I know it will be different but I'm reading all I can, going with an open mind and I'm going to have a great time!

My family never had a cat or dog my entire life. And after the last few pages..... whew. I know I'm pretty much a city girl, but YUCK and OMG.
Even with their gross behaviors they are worth it!

We got the e-mail today so I checked the prices. We are also Star Class and I did wonder if they are holding any back for Star Class. I guess everyone has equal chance, but if I did want to book them and didn't happen to see/get/check the e-mail and they were sold out when the Genie contacts us, I might be a bit upset (not at those prices though).

People are posting on a Star Class site that just got the email and when they tried to book nothing is available.

@Sea DogI can match your shoe lace/poop story. I found last night that someone had caught, eaten and then partially regurgitated a mouse…inside the house!!! 😳🙀
I can match your mice story. We had a Lab that ate everything. She was very fast and good at catching things, including squirrels, which we would find in the house, sometimes only half a squirrel. I was able to stop her at the door and she swallowed the entire squirrel while we watched in horror. After eating her wide variety of "foods" she would usually vomit . One night my husband found a pile of vomit only to yell for me because she had eaten an entire family of mice. Closer inspection revealed that our teenage daughter had not closed their bathroom door and it was a pile of regurgitated used tampons.

We were diagnosed with a broken coil.
After 5 estimates, we’re getting a new AC.
$6,000 is worth it this time of year in Florida. I need cold to sleep, so I’m half dead and look it.That's a great price. Our compressor went out on a Friday afternoon last August. When they told me that a salesperson would be out on Monday I jokingly asked if I could pay them to come out sooner. Of course they could for an extra fee of $100. I jumped on it. The salesperson was here within an hour and the new unit installed the next day. Neither my dogs nor I do well in the heat so they have cooling pads, I froze wet towels to put on them and brought out all of the fans. The last stop was Lowes for a portable AC. We are a little spoiled especially when it comes to sleeping. 66 degrees every night. Enjoy your new AC!

Sydney is high on my list of places I've never been to. Scotland first (home of golf and my ancestors), then Australia.
I lived there for a year when I was an exchange student and went back for a few visits in the following years. I would love go back as it was a lifetime ago.

So the water comsumed by your bad toilet became the water company's expense instead of yours. Typically issues past the water meter are your problem including the wasted water.
We had a leak under the slab. The water company found it and was also nice enough to give a small discount.

What do you folks do for storage?
I've never had a basement. I learned from my mom to get rid of stuff if you don't use it so if it doesn't fit in the garage or a closet we don't keep it. We do have an attic but have never used it.

Virgin's target demographic isn't the same as Holland America's. Obviously elderly aren't unwelcome but they're not marketing to "Grans" with free HIIT classes and drag brunches
Average age of a VV cruiser is 48.

😬 Are the children really that ubiquitous/ill-behaved? Maybe it will be the Solarium for us, then...
The majority of kids that we have encountered have been fine, but it only takes a few to form a group that ruin it for everyone.

I'm trying to stay positive because the follow up appointment was made at the same time as the MRI appointment. They did ask for his "permission" to call earlier but that was also before the MRI. So I'm leaning towards no news is good news. We just don't like being given to access to the report and not knowing how to read it.
