  1. My bet is she booked a guarantee where the perks didn't attach. All the advertised perks she is mentioning is the ones which fall at the top of the scale for suites. If she picked UBP and SDP she would know it because she would have been assessed a sizable gratuity. If she booked without those gratuities she never selected the perks to begin with.

  2. Don't worry so much about location as it relates to motion no matter how many times it is repeated on here. Sure, being on higher decks or forward may slightly increase motion but it will not be perceivable. I have cruised for years with my wife who is very motion sensitive. When things get bad changing location does nothing. It isn't like you can be on deck 10 thinking 'this is rough' and then go to deck 3 and think 'this is much better'. It is a large ship with stabilizers, it doesn't ride the waves like a pontoon boat.

  3. I looked at the simulator using a Key West zip code....it will start at 1:25 EST and peak at 2:57. It will be an awesome event on a cruise ship.

In zip code 33040, you will see a partial solar eclipse.

The eclipse will peak at 2:56:57 pm EDT, when the moon obscures 71.3% of the sun.

  4. Not that it matters, but it's easy to tell "cabin glasses" as they don't give those glasses out at any of the bars (the cabin ones are quite large/wide, not your traditional looking wine glass - unless you're in a suite and have a selection of glasses). It just means that person has a cabin bar going :D

You do realize you can simply ask for wine glasses from your steward or any bar and they will provide them? No one is talking about drinking wine from the water glasses in the room.

  5. I vote you won't notice any difference at all. I have been on many cruises with a wife that is very sensitive to motion. There has never been a spot on the ship that was 'better' when it started getting rough. It isn't like she feels the motion on 11 and then drop down to 5 and say "oh that is much better".

Repeating that the amount of motion felt is highly dependent on location is dramatically overrated and passed on as 'advice'.
