  1. Coke has a bite that cuts the perceived sweetness that Pepsi lacks.
  2. I tried last cruise, just couldn't do the Pepsi. Totally different flavor profile.
  3. You sure you cannot select a different cabin? My last offer pulled up a specific cabin but if you clicked around there were a few different options.
  4. .....and none of that means I cannot wish that Carnival handled the situation as well as their competitors as am I an overall fan of the line.
  5. Not bizarre at all....I am not a fan of upcharges and limitations for basic items. If the other lines can do it, their direct competition, I expect Carnival should be able to sort it out also.
  6. Of course you can. The point is not to long ago I could dine at any location for breakfast and find something as simple as bacon available. I could dine in the MDR on any night and find a decent steak without paying another $20.
  7. If Carnival is listening.....raise my price $25 per cruise and bring back bacon and decent steaks. I would up it to $40 if you find a way to get the food on the Lido to be held at the proper temps.
  8. I always see absolute posts on here that they "will never ask for that" and I can firsthand say that is false. We probably did 10 cruises with a BC and always took our marriage license. A Carnival worker asked for it once, Customs twice. Not sure if anything would have happened if we did not have it but I am glad we did.
  9. I agree....I love Carnival...they've been the choice for 75% of our cruises over the past 20 years. However, I feel I'm on a journey from The Westin to the Motel 6.
  10. No point in worrying about it....you are going to have a cabin. Treat it like a hotel, no one ever worries about what their room number will be.
  11. Of course there are....just like eliminating the filet as the cut for steak and eggs that had been served for decades in the MDR is because of 'supply chain'. Cheapening the experience will continue as long as people believe this mess, it is obvious when the direct competition does not encounter the same 'obstacles'.
  12. LOL....I bet you believe that and how it is a Carnival only problem. The people who cruise on other lines all just take 3 slices like a cultured person.🤣
  13. The last option is Carnival has the correct cash flow to provide it like the rest of the industry but decided they can push a lower standard on their customer base because of 'COVID' and turn that expense into profit. I mean look at the steak situation. We went from a time not that many years ago where you could get a filet at breakfast and a prime cut of steak at dinner daily in the MDR , that was downgraded to flat iron steak and now once again to a tough strip loin steak. They will gladly serve you a decent steak though for $20.
  14. Nothing better than ending the day accomplishing something!
  15. This place is classic. Post a topic on the most popular breakfast meat in existence and get dismissive comments about "I don't eat meat" and "I don't eat breakfast".😅
  16. I've never seen the full MDR menu, only limited selections such as this one. chibang-dinner-menu.pdf
  17. Get used to it. Carnival eliminates more and more late included night options as each month passes. It is either stand in line for 45 minutes for pizza or they will gladly take your money for room service.
  18. Same in Georgia. CVS is closing up shop along with everything ran be the Department of Health. I think the days of just throwing tests at everything for any reason is over. It will end up being like the flu, you will see a doctor who will test if you have symptoms.
  19. I've said it before, Carnival could quit serving breakfast and some on here would blame you for being hungry since you didn't order a grill cheese from the deli the night before.
  20. Huh? Any size ship can service any itinerary. There is nothing saying a mega ship can't run a 4 day itinerary, they simply don't have to because the older ships are plentiful to fill those roles.
  21. Paid off, inefficient, maintenance hogs vs. modern, efficient and high capacity with 30+ years ahead of it.
