  1. Wells Fargo is running the same promotion. It popped up on my account today.
  2. I have always checked it and have no plans to change.
  3. There will be plenty on St. Greg's page. https://www.saintgregtravel.com/carnival/
  4. Well...you should arrive at your listed arrival time. How long it will take is a week by week thing. I have arrived on time and been on the ship in 45 minutes and another took 2 1/2 hours, an hour of that was standing outside in a line outside of the terminal.
  5. No....Gold is after 5pm on the final night.
  6. P&A will have it. Some days they will run out towards the end of the day and not restock until the morning so it is in some sort of limited quantity.
  7. As above....the P&A is the spot for anything related to bourbon or Bloody Mary's.
  8. LOL.....I really love these topics. "My wife and I drank as much as we wanted on our 14 day cruise.....bar tab was $42. Cheers isn't worth it"
  9. Port hole cabins are okay and I have booked them at times but I certainly wouldn't avoid sailing on a ship because they are not an option.
  10. People are going to give you a million answers....at the end of the day if the ship is moving it is moving everywhere. I guarantee you could blindfold people and drag them around the ship and they couldn't tell you where they were or if the motion was different than the last place.
  11. It is still not a free for all like many are implying. You still have to be granted one of the limited exemption slots to even get to the second step. If you happen to be granted one you requested under a medical exemption you just don't have to have a letter from your doctor now.
  12. These topics always get cluttered by the 'I have one drink a day" people. Of course Cheer's isn't for you, we get that.
  13. No for me. Don't spend enough time on a balcony to make it worth it.
  14. Depends on the ship. Some ships do not have sofa's in the insides so a pullman is the only option.
  15. Not surprising. Carnival took on $30B in high interest debt. They are 2Y into their recovery plan and are still losing money by the day with all ships back in service. Now we have record inflation, astronomical fuel costs and it appears a recession is in the near future. During a recession discretionary income that is used for things like vacations dries up first. The future is not promising for the cruise industry, particularly Carnival.
  16. I am well over trying to be the first on board. There is nothing pleasurable for me anymore about it. People everywhere dragging luggage around because they can't go to their cabin yet. All the bars and restaurants are packed. I now look for 1pm or so. I board as the throng has dispersed, drop my bags and go grab lunch as a now near empty Lido.
  17. It really isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. I have stayed in insides, portholes, oceanviews and balconies multiple times each. It is just a cabin, there are much worse places you can be and you can make anything work. No matter what the cabin, we do like some of the above and turn the TV to the outside cams. To me It gives you a sense of what is going on outside just like looking out a window.
  18. LOL....people get so caught up in marketing. Yes, one cruise line charges you for everything and tries to make their base fare always look the cheapest. One gives you everything under the sun included but the price for the cabin is always way higher. It is what it is. Look at the final price, nothing else. Don't let marketing terms like free, bonus, limited time or upgrade ruin your day.
  19. She is still there as of 7pm.....might not be a good thing.
  20. Ehhhh.....it is all semantics. Is it short staffed or overbooked? Carnival can always limit passenger count to their staffing levels. Some companies get it right, they have adapted their business to the current conditions with the goal of maintaining their service standards. Others are okay with offering a degraded experience for their customers in the quest for profit.
  21. We had the same experience last fall. The cabin was always at the verge of becoming unbearable. We brought our normal travel fan and I still woke up during the night clammy. Had we not brought the fan it would've been miserable.
  22. Well that sucks. We ordered coffee and a pastry every morning to enjoy as we got our day started.
  23. Not a good situation.....The COVID card asks for your legal name. I also go by my middle name but making such mistakes can complicate life and in a situation like this prevent you from boarding the ship.
