  1. Since you don’t tell us where you’re going, it’s hard for us to comment on your concern.
  2. Are there not more than one docking areas in Copenhagen? One further away than the other? Could that not be a factor?
  3. Basically I he folding doors are not connected to the a/C in any way
  4. I have never seen the list to be delivered to the cabin. It is however, available at all of the bars which do the happy hour almost every bar does it except for the world class bar and perhaps one or two others on a ship. Your instructions will be in the state room. Here is the menu.
  5. They have it but not on the embarkation night. And never was. so the Captains Welcome never had anything to do with not having the Happy Hour on embarkation night
  6. Since many governments also have cabotage laws I’m not seeing anything unique to the PVSA
  7. You are not embarking at one US city and disembarking at a different US city, so the act does not apply
  8. No Enssnada is not A distant port. It is a foreign port, but not a distant foreign port, as defined in the act.
  9. The OP is OK because there are two different ships, and a day in between. So it is not a back to back situation. but your general statement about back to back’s being OK is too broad.
  10. No, this would not be OK because you are on one ship going from one US port to another, and a Canada stop in between does not satisfy the PVSA. If you are on two different ships, only then you would be fine.
  11. Both Ensenada and Vancouver are foreign ports. Neither one is a distant foreign port the law differentiates between ordinary foreign ports and distant foreign ports. But in the scenario you proposed, the PVSA does not come into account at all, because you were on two different ships with a days break in between.
  12. I feel very bad for these ladies, if it happened as reported, but I am curious how someone who has cruised enough of Celebrity to become elite was unaware of the size of the state room that was booked?
  13. There are dozens of posts on this topic. A search of Cruise Critic will get you all the information you seek.
  14. I think you mean the Captain’s Club concierge. You won’t find a C&A concierge on Celebrity
  15. Bring your own zippered pillow cases and give the steward explicit instructions not to send them to the laundry. Use a laundry marker pen to write your name on them. if you are lucky enough to find brightly colored or flowered or polka dot zippered cases, buy those to make it even easier to see that they don’t go in with the laundry.
  16. Yes, if you are Elite Plus trey take your card but there is no charge for the coffees at Al Bacio, as long as they don’t have alcohol added to them.
  17. Oh dear, on a ship you will also be told at what hour you can have breakfast in the MDR, at what hour you can see the comedian, at what hour you can swim in the pool. Pretty much everything. 😀
  18. It is an interesting point because if those under 18 could have their elite and elite plus status, they could also have free laundry, the Wi-Fi discount, and so forth
  19. It’s not continuously manned but it is there sometimes
  20. The OP asked an interesting question but I think it is one that no one here on Cruise Critic can answer. It was a corporate decision by Celebrity made years ago and the reasons are probably lost in the mist of time. I would be surprised if anyone at Celebrity even remembers why the decision was made that way.
  21. Well, there’s no way to transfer a Celebrity booking to Royal Caribbean so I’m not sure why you would suggest that.
