  1. This may be in transition. it is offered in Seattle and there have been reports that at least one Celebrity ship is doing it out of Fort Lauderdale but the others are not yet. Now all of the ships except equinox have left Florida for the summer so we’ll have to wait to see what happens when they return next fall.
  2. Well those are two separate issues but you should contact Captains Club about them.
  3. Cruise Critic doesn’t have a private messaging feature
  4. There’s always a cover charge to eat in the specialty restaurants.
  5. Have you spoken to the onboard staff about this?
  6. It’s really worth getting a good TA who will handle this for you.
  7. It can even depend on what time of day you come in from your shore excursions. Sometimes the area is manned by personnel who are assigned to take your wine, put your name on it, and set it aside but then later in the day there’s nobody at that table and you can walk right in with it. If there are shore excursions which visit wineries, often they let you bring wines back from that excursion without taking them but then sometime later in the day, as people arrive from other excursions or from just walking around town, they take their wine. The point is, what happens on one cruise and one port doesn’t necessarily happen on all Cruises in all Ports
  8. Always consult your Captains Club instructions….venues can change from cruise to cruise
  9. If you’re on the classic package, what’s the up charge for top shelf liquors like Jack Daniels? TIA
  10. The boarding ramp varies day by day and cruise by cruise, depending on the tides in the configuration of the terminal area.
  11. Because you don’t have an MDR table assignment m hmmmmmm it is always best to coordinate this with the Luminae staff who can Find out when and where the MDR can fit you in
  12. I wonder if the OP ever spoke to any restaurant management staff about his concerns. What was their response?
  13. A year from now anything can change.😵‍💫
  14. I think there are other reasons to pre-pay gratuities. One is to have charges appear on your credit card in a cycle when you might not have a lot of other charges, or you’re trying to build up points on that card perhaps. another might be to try to get ahead of currency conversion issues. If you’re betting that your currency will be stronger or weaker against the dollar, you might want to time your purchases accordingly.
  15. Meanwhile, here is some clarifications that may help the OP. celebrity offers a bundle package, called always included, or AI, which has three components. The first component is basic Wi-Fi. The second is gratuities for your state room attendant and dining room staff. The third is a drinks package, which includes gratuity on the drinks. Taking them one by one, the OP feels that the Wi-Fi won’t be necessary however, it should be noted that their mobile phone will work on land while in Europe but not on the ship. So the wifi might, in fact, be useful. the second component is the daily gratuity. If not prepaid, this will be added to the shipboard account on a daily basis. It covers housekeeping and dining staff. It does not cover gratuities on beverages, nor gratuities on spa services. the third component is a basic beverage package and it’s gratuities. It does not include the mini bar, nor alcohol ordered through room service. If you do not have a beverage package and you buy your drinks one at a time, they will add a gratuity to the price of the drink or, if you are sailing out of Southampton, the gratuity will be included in the price of the bank. The total will come out the same either way. As I read the OP question, she can see how to order a beverage package pre-cruise and would like to pay the daily gratuities cruise pre-cruise also. but she seems to be confusing the beverage gratuities with the daily gratuities. to reiterate for clarity, The daily gratuity charge does not cover gratuities on beverages.if you don’t have a beverage package you will pay a gratuity on each beverage you order.
  16. Possibly it is back. However, reports have been inconsistent so whether it will be offered on your cruise or not you won’t know until you are on board
  17. What do you mean, “some”concierge guests can eat in the MDR on embarkation day, are there any who can’t?
  18. Take another picture and try again.
  19. Once you transfer your booking to a travel agency, Celebrity will no longer discuss it with you.
  20. On all celebrity ships, showtimes are almost always 7 PM and 9 PM. Occasionally there are some adjustments due to itinerary specifics.
  21. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t
  22. Watch for signage that says Retreat which is for suites only.
  23. Well, very occasionally tge breakfast is in the MDR. It was on Millennium last month. Because there were too many Elite and above to use Tuscan. It was just for one cruise, and the signage was clear. Also there was a doorkeeper.
