  1. I had no idea there were excursions there, never been but looked at taking the $1.25 bus there, it’s just a local public beach.
  2. The gratuities for the drink package are about $21 per day, cocktails/wine run about $14 a drink. If you drink more than $21 a day of alcohol, mocktails, soda it’s worth it. If not, you can easily remove it.
  3. I though CFAR only paid out like 75% of the cost.
  4. The medical facility needs to charge to stay in business, it’s not a charity. Gift shops, spas, salons, medical all lease space to make a profit. I think you lucked out, I’ve seen many many get charged.
  5. If your husband broke his leg at home 3 weeks before the cruise and was told he couldn’t travel for medical reasons, he still wouldn’t get his fare back. For that you need insurance, and especially for medical emergencies out of the country, lots of US health insurance won’t reimburse you (mine won’t). No other cruise line would’ve handled this situation any differently.
  6. No corkage will be charged anywhere with FAS.
  7. If you purchase a drink on a cruise, a gratuity will be added and can’t be removed. If you purchase a full price drink package, a gratuity will be added and can’t be removed. If you purchase specialty dining meal, a gratuity will be added, if you purchase a specialty dining package, a gratuity will be added.
  8. In my case it was the 80’s and definitely a thing to look forward to in winter.
  9. I don’t think you do if you have the FAS.
  10. I’ve heard of folks booking a dummy person, or TBA, and have them be no shows.
  11. My daughter went to Walgreens, mailed in her passport renewal, 6 weeks later received notification that she needed new photos.
  12. No block schedule here, the majority of classes are a year long, starting after Labor Day. My biggest issue is with AP classes, where the AP exams are in May but school goes to the end of June, less prep time for exams, and then 6 more weeks, usually the teacher gives a final too.
  13. Personally I’d rather take Amtrak with kids than sit in traffic on 95 with them. No need to build in bathroom stops.
  14. Stealing is always cheaper that purchasing.
  15. They can eat anywhere just like on land.
  16. If you have FAS you can bring in unlimited wine to drink anywhere, no charge. If you don’t have the FAS you can bring on unlimited wine, $15 per bottle, to drink anywhere.
  17. I’m guessing NCL would prefer that you pay for your drinks.
  18. I can verify that Shirley temples are considered sodas and virgin drinks like mudslides are not considered sodas and will incur a charge with the soda package.
  19. If they are potty trained all good, if not no pool or splash pad.
  20. Victim shaming at its finest. So, two grown adults shouldn’t have booked day passes at a resort. Should women only travel with men? Should not travel to popular vacation destinations, should know better? I have 3 daughters in their 20’s, well traveled, who’ve been to the Dominican Republic and Mexico this past year. My son went to sandals Bahamas with his girlfriend, I guess that’s okay because he’s a guy. He also traveled to Colombia with his guy friends this year, more dangerous but they aren’t women.
  21. They are not responsible for folks who do not have proper documentation to board, travel insurance (besides CFAF) won’t cover it either.
  22. Just in case you aren’t aware, you can bring on unlimited bottles.
  23. And I think this is the first complaint I’ve read about lack of smoking sections.
