  1. $45 per day, very easy, you can see your vehicle from the ship. I think they now take reservations but as far as I know they’ve never run out of parking.
  2. FAS gratuities for drink package comes out to $21 pp pd. A cocktail runs about $14, so if you drink alcoholic drinks it’s a good deal. A charge of $20 pp pd is charged to your account as a gratuity to most of the staff, no need to tip extra if you don’t want to. I wouldn’t get that excited for seafood night.
  3. Most NJ taxi’s won’t take folks to manhattan.
  4. There are 3 - 4 trains every hour into manhattan on Sundays.
  5. Usually 88, if that is being used 90 right next door.
  6. NJ transit train would be much much cheaper and probably faster, otherwise divide up into Ubers.
  7. Schools in the northeast go back after Labor Day, many head south because it’s cheaper and less crowded.
  8. Dining room is free, butler and concierge are not part of the tip pool.
  9. We bring yeti’s, use another glass to fill them.
  10. Our family of 7 heads to an open MDR, great way to start the cruise.
  11. I think they all went up, it’s $100 just for pool and beach access at the old Hilton, no food or drink included (and it’s not the greatest beach).
  12. Do you? I’ve worked in the service industry, all 3 of my daughters have waitresses/bartended during college years, some places make staff split the tips, tip out the bartender, tip out the bus boys, sometimes tips will go to the dishwashers.
  13. That literally happens to me with every Old Navy and a kohl’s order.
  14. But sometimes the price increases, and better cabins sell out.
  15. Just checked, $102 back bay to Newark on 3/8, coach.
  16. Depending on how far in advance you book. My daughter is a student in Boston, cheapest she’s booked was $30 each way. She recently booked a one way to NJ in March and it was around $120.
  17. I was basing it on the fact that ncl assigned the cabin, the OP wanted to switch to a non-handicapped cabin in the same category but none were available.
  18. If you want specialty restaurant reservations you should make them by the first day if possible. No need for reservations in the MDR, but you can make them at any time if you want. Spice h2o is adult only during the day. Thermal spas are very nice and prices vary by ships and dates.
  19. I hope the OP comes back and clarifies, it says they were assigned the cabin. I assumed NCL put them in it and it’s close to sailing.
  20. You can make a reservation. Our family of 7 (so an 8 top) never made reservations and were seated quickly, you probably want to stick with the larger MDR.
  21. I don’t think you can get a private tour. The real swimming with pigs is far away on exuma when pigs have lived for generations. The tourist industry jumped on the bandwagon and brought pigs to closer islands to Nassau and companies sell access as local excursions, they’re not going to limit it to private parties.
  22. Excursion prices, like most costs associated with cruising, are fluid.
  23. I’ve seen many posts of people without disabilities getting these cabins. NCL holds them back but closer to the cruise they open them up to everyone since they don’t like to sail with empty cabins. I’ve never heard of anyone being bumped from the cruise due to someone needing that cabin, in the worst case they are moved. I don’t know why folks are putting the blame on the OP, NCL booked them in an accessible cabin knowing they aren’t disabled.
  24. We were next to the elevators closest to splash academy on the breakaway, no noticeable noise, very convenient location.
  25. I would do the same with anyone who was on my account (plus check the account often). I did fine that, when I gave charging privileges with a warning, they actually spent less than if we were somewhere where they would have to ask me for cash. If I gave them a $50 limit, they wouldn’t go over $30. Obviously not scientific, but it surprised me each time.
