  1. Shared taxi vans are around $5 pp, #10 jitney is $1.25 or $1.50. I’ve never heard of an Atlantis shuttle, even with a ships excursion we used taxi vans.
  2. If you need an answer you might want to start a new thread, this one is 8 years old.
  3. Can someone take her place? I don’t think this dispute will be won with a CC dispute, it’s always up to the travelers to know proper documentation. I don’t see a legal leg to stand on.
  4. Medical care isn’t free and cruise ship’s facilities don’t take any insurance. You need to pay and submit it to your insurance (most likely denied) and then your travel insurance. Take any otc medication you think you could possibly need.
  5. Just a FYI, most folks on NCL take the FAS package, which includes all alcoholic beverages up to $15, costs about $20 a day pp, and includes being allowed to bring on unlimited bottles of wine for $0.
  6. If you cancel after final payment, you forfeit part or all of your fare.
  7. I would say stay where ^^^ stayed in NJ, west of the GWB, for a relatively easy commute to Brooklyn.
  8. Prices can also be way higher, or only the worst cabins are left, or airfare is much higher… Get out your magic 8 ball.
  9. Here in the US, no discounts for paying in full early, but you can still get your money refunded.
  10. I believe if you booked in the US, you can upgrade or get a FCC, but there are different rules here. Are you past final payment?
  11. The GWB route is best for those who aren’t city drivers, I’d recommend it over the tunnels if the timing is similar. OP are you planning on staying the night before?
  12. I haven’t sailed on the epic, but we always get two family balconies, because we like connecting cabins and I think there are more near the kids clubs (that’s where the family part comes in, same size as other balconies).
  13. My kids always had the soda package and ordered a lot of Shirley temples.
  14. I think the time period between thanksgiving and Christmas is a sweet spot with very few kids, they were just off of school and have a long break in a few weeks.
  15. Plus I like to drink wine on my balcony, in the past I always paid corkage for a few bottles even with the UDP.
  16. I’m pretty sure if one books with a casino offer and can’t go, the cabin will be repriced to reflect that there is no longer a casino offer, on all cruise lines.
  17. The OP said it’s a group mother/daughter trip that is already planned.
  18. As I posted above there really aren’t many adult areas besides the spa and casino.
  19. My kids loved meeting others at the teen club, so I’d suggest going the first night. My kids were 14, 14, 16, 19 and 20 on our last cruise, the teens all met a group of kids their age, but we also spent a lot of time as a family going to shows, karaoke, hanging in lounges - I don’t recall anything the younger kids couldn’t do with us (except spa, we didn’t get passes for the over 18’s, just for us)
  20. I was making this choice on our last cruise, but we prefer waves. Decided on RIU based on reviews, water was calm that day, very easy to swim out, beautiful black and white fish, water was absolutely clear (forgot I had sunglasses on my head, was able to see them on the ocean floor many feet down while I swam above them). Buffets (breakfast and lunch) were pretty good (much better than the ship).
  21. It’s not exactly prohibited, but if you check it the only way they can charge corkage is to get the passenger to the room where the bag is held, they’re not going to open your bag.
  22. I know people seem to like to make MDR reservations, but we don’t, and have never waited for a table (we are a family of 7 and I really appreciate not having to have a pre-booked time for dinner)
  23. Maybe get off early, taxi to a nice nearby hotel for breakfast/brunch, check your bags with a bellman, and then taxi back to the cruise terminal?
  24. That was nice of DCL, we’ve missed the private island and got a “sucks to be you” in compensation.🤣
