There have been reports of folks booking air through NCL and missing their cruise, passengers get cheaper flights but it’s not a program guaranteeing they get you to the ship. We are a family of 7 and never made MDR reservations, never had to wait. We used to pay corkage on wine even with the UDP to have bottles in our room, or at our table (I’ve found drink service to be slow), happy it’s now free.
We had a similar issue on the BA, lined up for self assist by 7 am, got off the ship at 11:30, lack of agents. Wouldn’t have been an issue but my daughter needed to be at church for her confirmation at noon. We got her there, went home to change (unshowered). It was November and we spent a couple hours on an outside deck in line.
Lol I definitely don’t expect a luxury experience in a tiny cabin on a main stream cruise line, that DVC villa definitely cost more with no food included and there was a time when daily housekeeping was included. I think I can make it through the day with only once a day cleaning on a cruise.
On cruise ships there are allergy free kitchens, just meet with the dietary manager, all meals can be ordered in advance, ships have a stock pile of gluten free items like bread, rolls, pasta, cookies, pancakes, waffles, English muffins…
I think it’s 16+. On our last cruise, our 14 year old daughter was asked to leave, our 16 year old was allowed to stay. Both were exactly the same size, but not very tall.
NCL has never had a wine limit. In the past it was $15 corkage per bottle, but now if you have the UDP free at sea promo, you can bring on as many bottles as you like for no fee.
From what I’ve read about people’s experiences with NCL air, those who are getting discounted flights are left to their own devices if the flights get delayed or canceled. I think the only way I’d book this way is with a 2 day deviation. You should definitely be getting port fees, taxes, gratuities, and any prepaid services refunded, like anyone who doesn’t lard the ship.
