  1. I am glad that the MRI results didn't find anything of further concern. I hope they can figure out what is up with his stomach. 🙂
  2. Alaska is amazing and you are going to find a lot of strong opinions about what is the best cruise and cruise line to do. I would suggest you look at the reviews in the Alaska forum and try to decide what is best for you. We have done two Alaska cruises, one roundtrip from Seattle and the other a one way southbound from Seward to Vancouver with a land tour prior. We loved both of them but the one way was our favorite as we got to see Denali National Park.
  3. If you are really interested in knowing the answer now, you can google and see the title of next weeks show and the synopsis.
  4. It looks that way. She should have confronted Allisa immediately last week when she made that very inappropriate comment that Sandy overheard.
  5. That's awesome! We didn't have any squares this year for the first time in a long time. Eyeing another cruise with the money or is it lucky money for the casino? 😄
  6. We thought it went through too! It was just a ploy for Fanduel to make money. A $5 bet in the app gives you a piece of the $10 million. Promo ads have been playing for weeks in the Boston area because sports betting just became legal in MA and online betting is coming soon.
  7. He did it right before I posted. It was some little fake field and they say he missed but it looked like he made it.
  8. She is hanging in there, thanks for asking. 🙂 Still have to go to NH to take her shopping or to appointments every week. She gets overwhelmed when we try to get her to consider moving. It would be easier for all if she was back in MA, but I don't see it happening. It will likely be a fall or some other crisis that gets her to move. At least my sister is going more frequently, not weekly, but not bi-annually anymore. 😄 My other siblings are flying in every other month or so, which is a big plus too.
  9. My Mom lives near Hampton Falls, not sure who has a Bedford connection. 🙂 I actually took my Mom out for fried clams this week at Warrens in Kittery, right on the river. We drove down the coast on the way back so she could check out the surf. I hadn't driven by Rye beach in a long time. They had really built up the sand/rock berm to hold back the ocean as you could see how it had flooded over. Holds back the flooding but kills the view as you are driving by.
  10. I hope you get your taste and smell back quickly. I had covid in May 2022 and I still don't have my taste and smell back.
  11. This week has been a big fundraising week for the Special Olympics. They have been having Polar Plunges all over the country to raise money. The Penguin Plunge is scheduled for noontime today at Hampton Beach with a costume parade of the participants at 11:30. They are gathered at the Ashworth Hotel and will be parading to the water. Hampton Beach can have some interesting sites on a regular beach day, so the costumes could be fun. Last I saw, they had over 700 registered to take the plunge. Here is a link if anyone is interested in the craziness. https://hamptonbeach.org/beach-cam/
  12. I am watching for the commercials. There is a Dunkin Donuts commercial that features Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez that was shot at a Dunkins in a suburb of Boston a few weeks ago. Affleck worked the drive thru window for about an hour giving out free coffee to unsuspecting people. It was all over the local news. There is also a Sam Adams commercial that was shot all over Boston spoofing all of the local stereotypes. I saw a preview of it and it looks really funny. Rob Gronkowski kicking a field goal should be interesting too.
  13. LOL Don't change what I say by cherry picking a quote. I find it interesting that the medicine they push is one that contains a decongestant that many people can not take. They did not have just a cough suppressant.
  14. Thanks for sharing your list. Definitely not something I could do. The decongestants alone would have my heart racing, even though I don't have high blood pressure. It is interesting though because the ship's medical center always pushes Dayquil if you have any cough, whether you are seeing them for covid, the flu, bronchitis or an unknown respiratory virus (all of which I have been treated for on a cruise before 😄).
  15. We usually come in the night before just in case. We have driven the morning of the cruise once but it makes for a long day since we are up by 5am. We would likely stay a couple of nights in NYC as we haven't been since before covid.
  16. We like sailing from Bayonne too because it is less than a four hour drive. Haven't sailed from NYC yet but want to try it at least once. Parking was one of the considerations which is why we would likely fly, so wouldn't have to deal with car. Train might be something to consider too! I haven't taken AMTRAK in a long time. Will have to check it out.
  17. I need to call and get Captain's Club numbers so I can see the correct pricing. We typically sail in May for our anniversary, so that is why we grabbed Oasis. Hopefully, we will do something late summer on Summit.
