  1. I enjoy avocado toast at home but have only seen guacamole on toast in the WJ. Have you seen sliced avocado in the WJ?
  2. I just added the link to the other discussion. I always have my invoice, so will show that if needed.
  3. Someone else posted about this too and was told it is a new change. They will scan your pass at the port and let you in the correct line. edit: here is the other thread discussing this.
  4. Customer service should have been able to put you on the waitlist when you booked or when you called in. We just had to do that on an upcoming cruise and did it when booking. Only late seating was available when we booked but we waitlisted my time and have since cleared the waitlist.
  5. One thing to understand is you need to be on the ship 90 minutes before sailing as they have to finalize the manifest. @njsmomwas able to board five minutes before sailing as she was there on a port of call. You and your family need to get checked in at the port and then board. Just give yourself plenty of time for unforeseen issues. If you stick with your plan to get there for 2pm for a 5pm departure you should be golden. 🙂
  6. Definitely rent a car and explore on your own. The first day of the cruise tour is really a nothing day. Most people are travelling in that day and the tour guide was not even available to meet with anyone until the afternoon. We didn't know this until we got to the hotel, we were at Pike's, not Sophie Station, and ended up getting a ride to downtown to explore what we ended up seeing the next day anyway. We had flown into Anchorage and did a couple of days DIY and then flown out early the morning of the cruisetour to Fairbanks. We wish we had taken a later flight. Another couple waiting with us rented a car and went off road somewhere, I forget where they wanted to go but do know they got a car they were allowed to take off road. I would see if you can find out what time you are actually supposed to meet day 1 so you can actually do something that morning. The cruisetour also included transfer from the airport to the hotel which might not be an option coming in a day early but if you are getting a car at the airport it is a non-issue anyway.
  7. I wonder if "good TA's" have some kind of HIPAA rule like doctors do. Some of us are very private. 😇
  8. We did two of the extra excursions while at Denali that you can book with your tour guide once you meet them the first day. We did the ATV Adventure and the float excursion which it looks like they aren't doing now, just the rafting excursion. For the ATV, we did a two person side by side ATV which was like a dune buggy. I drove the whole time and DH just enjoyed the ride. We could have swapped when we stopped in the river bed. The river float we did was really fun and was more like class 2 and 3 rapids as the river was running high. At the time we went, there was also a rapids excursion that put in farther down the river and those that went said it was wild because the river was high. Looks like they have just one river excursion now, so not sure how rough it is. If they say they put in by the hotel, it is the easier part of the river. Not sure if you have seen this link, but it has lots of information. The extra excursions you can buy are under the resources tab. https://www.royalcaribbeancruisetours.com/ Link to extra excursions brochure. https://www.royalcaribbeancruisetours.com/content/uploads/2023/01/22003043_Alaska_CruiseTours_Land_Excursions_Brochure_HR_compressed-1.pdf
  9. I didn't say May was like September. I shared our experience. As far as "the search results", no idea what results you are speaking of as all research we did for our Alaska cruises said it is very rare to see Northern Lights from a cruise ship in Alaska.
  10. Seeing the Northern Lights on an Alaska cruise is pretty rare because it doesn't get dark enough. We were on a land tour in May and sunset was at 11pm.
  11. You do not keep the lifejackets for the week, there are not enough for all families to hoard them in their cabins. You also do not take them off the ship, they are for use on the ship only. The same variety of lifejackets are available to use on Coco Cay. Those lifejackets should be left on the island for others to enjoy.
  12. I got an email on 2/28 that states the same as the OP. I didn't get an email yesterday with a newsletter. I don't get any of the marketing or sales emails, not matter how many times I have tried to have it fixed. I only get stuff that goes out specifically related to C&A or to a booking.
  13. Where are you seeing that quote? I saw the one on the OP. CRYSTAL BLOCKS, NOW IN COLORThis spring, we’ll debut brand new, full-color crystal blocks! We’ll be saying goodbye to current designs over the next several months as we transition to our new look. Members receive their first crystal block at 140 cruise points and earn subsequent blocks for every 70 points thereafter.
  14. Well, we have all read that someone from the cruise line monitors threads in this forum. I would hope that corporate reads this and talks to this chef.
  15. LOL I have no desire to direct your life. I asked an honest question as all I have seen you post are complaints on a daily basis. You posted how bad Wonder was and continue to complain about it. As far as chefs being forced to prepare poor quality food, that makes no sense whatsoever! Try to enjoy your cruise. 🙂
  16. Why do you continue to cruise with Royal Caribbean if you are so unhappy with the food and in some cases, the ship itself? Life is too short to spend so much time complaining about all your sailings. Try Celebrity and see if it suits your needs.
  17. If you consider $10K more as not "that" much more, go for it. We don't buy an alcohol package as we get way more than enough from loyalty drinks and the suite lounge. We enjoy Coastal Kitchen and only do a few nights in specialty restaurants or the Windjammer. We are just fine with getting our own seats at the shows. We don't need a lot of extra stuff delivered to our cabin, we use room service if we need something or just go get it ourselves. The two of us are quite happy in our sky suites and do not see the need to spend a lot of extra money.
  18. There are big differences between sea and sky class. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-royal-suite-class
  19. Tote bags and toiletry bags are the new gifts that you can chose from on the list that was posted. In the past, D+ could select slippers or towels. D+ over 340 could get tote bags. Wine was and still is a choice. You just have to call C&A and make your selection. If it is available when you sail, it will be in your cabin. If not available, they will make a choice for you or leave a letter in your cabin with options.
  20. It is still there, it is 5 lines down from the discounts you listed.
  21. The updated list says 2 bottles for emerald and diamond and 3 bottles for D+ and Pinnacle. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf
  22. If your dining says what you have in your title, you are not waitlisted. Dining (Wait Listed) 6:00PM () means you have 6:00PM dining with no wait list. If you are wait listed for something it would be in the brackets. My dining for my upcoming cruise originally said 8:00 (My Time) since I was waitlisted for MTD. I now have been assigned MTD.
  23. I would like to see their definition of "more water" instead of the beverage choice. Lately, they have been leaving a bunch of water bottles and our beverage choices.
