  1. You have to read pricing carefully. It does say that the 75.99 price reflects all discounts. As I said, that amounts to a 25% discount off an on board price of approximately $104.00. Black Friday often gets the best discounts but there’s no way to tell besides checking FREQUENTLY. That price is pretty average IMO. Not a great sale but every cruise/sailing has its own pricing. Only you know what an acceptable price is for you.
  2. You can still get the BOGO price (that will be 75.99) as a solo. It’s just a sales gimmick to make it sound like a special deal. It works out to a 25% discount on whatever they list as the on board price. And no, you can’t apply that to the non-alcoholic package. Separate products, separate pricing..
  3. We had trays & trays of bacon on our Harmony cruise. In fact I have never NOT had bacon on any of my cruises. Can I ask which ship and from where you are sailing?
  4. Just stayed deck 8 on Harmony. No noise!
  5. Grilled chicken tastes like rubber banquet chicken. Inedible. DH had the pork enchiladas, very little filling and nowhere near enough sauce.
  6. 3 post shutdown cruises with MTD. Made reservations as soon as I could for 6:30-7 each night. Have always gotten the same table (and they let me pick it out) and waitstaff and have never had to wait in a line. Most nights just waved in.
  7. I agree, the ships water tastes as good as any bottled IMO. You could also carry on a case of water. I have read that the specialty dining locations give out big bottles of water for the Diamond vouchers and there will be a couple of bottles of water each in your room. Water available at all dining venues. I guess my point is there is a lot of free water available. I don’t think I’d buy a refreshment package just to get water. How’s that for cheap 😁
  8. Believe me, the warm cookies were the only good thing about Mexican night. The only night I could not find something edible.
  9. Really, who cares what it means as long as it’s a discount. I’ve gotten it on my past 3 cruises.
  10. You don’t HAVE to make MTD reservations but your wait time may be longer than you expect without. We made our reservations for a May 2023 Harmony cruise in August of 2022 through the Cruise Planner (last option under the specially dining options). One night we had a 10 minute wait for the table we had all week, walked right in to the table every other night.
  11. They were not wrong. You do connect to the ships Wifi but that is NOT the paid internet. They used terminology that caused the confusion. They knew what they meant but did a poor job of explaining it to you.
  12. You do not need Voom to connect to the ships Wifi. The app works without internet access (turn on airplane mode). If you do the dining reservations first, either through the app or by going directly to any specialty restaurant (they can do them all for you at one time), you won’t have issues getting closer to what you want.
  13. I get your point but, for me, it’s not can I make this at home. Any time I go out to eat I have something that I could probably learn to make at home. But I don’t have to make it, shop for ingredients, serve it or clean up afterwards. Shrimp cocktail isn’t rocket science but I certainly enjoy it being served to me. BTW my daughter loved the daily Indian choices.
  14. I found the lobster tails served last month on Harmony to be bigger than the bugs one used to get. Still not up to a New Englander’s standard but better nonetheless. And did you just ask for more stuffing? I’m sure that would have been easily accommodated.
  15. Never got an Alfredo type sauce on the garlic prawns. Thinking some sous chef made a mistake.
  16. We had both on Harmony last month and enjoyed them very much. Well prepared and seasoned and correct temperature.
  17. I thought we’d have issues with customs. Our bags containers 2 1L bottles of vodka, a bottle of Hennessy White 700 ml, 1L of Baileys and a couple smaller bottles of tequila. Additionally my daughter took 6 bottles of champagne that we were comped. Nobody said nuthin!
  18. I reserved Izumi for the first night through the CP when it was on sale for $28.99 (plus tip). It was not part of any dining package. My son, nephew & brother were able to order both ways. Two ordered ala carte & one ordered the prie fixe menu. Everything they ordered was covered and they were stuffed!
  19. For our May Harmony cruise, entertainment reservations opened April 1st. This was in line with the suggestion that they open the beginning of the month prior to your cruise.
