  1. Thank you. I have a copy of that with us as it shows the honorable conditions. That poster really got under my skin.
  2. I’m sorry, you think I’m making it up? a DD215 is a correcting document to the original DD214. My husband had a general discharge. After a number of years, he received DD215 adding “under honorable conditions” to the original discharge. This is the invoice from my Explorer cruise in October with a military discount of $606. Proof enough for you?
  3. Hmm. Wonder if they kept note of cabin number & used that each time. Clearly we all need to watch our account more closely. Thanks for the heads up.
  4. Keep count of how many drinks you’ve had? If you were charged for a drink, you should have had to sign a slip for it. And if you were charged in error, did the charge show in your on board account? Did you tell whomever got the drink for you in the MDR to use a voucher?
  5. Booked 3 rooms for our extended family. DD is listed in a room with her brother & cousin (all adults) but she will stay in our room. I plan to tip our steward on day one to make up the sofa for her or at least leave bedding so we can do it as I’m not sure if it will be a pull out or not. Will grab her a room key card when GS isn’t swamped.
  6. I agree you will probably be in bathing suits all day so an outfit for daytime is not really necessary. I’d bring 2 light dresses & a pair of shirts/capris with 2 tops to match. You’re already wearing an outfit to board. Mix match rewear. No one on board will notice.
  7. Each charge is listed separately so how would it obscure a different charge?
  8. And what is your take on the issue presented here, lost ID. In your experience, how does that person board?
  9. I remember many years ago a post bemoaning Carnival’s 15 drinks a day limit and the fact that “including beer!!’” When did beer become a non alcoholic drink? Middle of the night (yeah I pee enough at night as it is!) breakfast?!?!?!
  10. Military discount has always been a separate line item on my invoice and I consider $600 ON TOP of the advertised sale offered to the general public significant.
  11. I dunno guys, WHEN I have gotten it, it has always been an additional amount on top of whatever discount I already have.
  12. Have had a military discount ranging from $200-$600 on our last 4 cruises. Alas nothing for our next and I check weekly as it seems to come & go at odd times. We have never been asked for any type of proof of eligibility ever. I do carry my DH’s DD215 and his military record info but never needed it.
  13. Or you could just print the darn things & have the kids hold them. My kids thought they were all that & a ham sandwich to be able to hand this important paper to the check in staff when they were little. Now they feel that way at the bar!
  14. When we did a lift & shift from Rhapsody to Harmony in 2021, our invoice showed a balance due of $6000 more. As others have indicated, it required manual adjustment and was fixed in about 10 days. Another great reason to use a TA. She handled it all & stayed on top of it til it was fixed.
  15. I agree, it’s a great day for us. It will be a long time before I’m tired of a free beach day.
  16. Haven’t seen trays on board any ship in years.
  17. You can look at any cruise on any ship in the app. Reservations have nothing to do with it. Selecting the current sailing on a ship gives you the most current information.
  18. If you chose the sailing that’s going on right now (4/22-4/29), menus are there.
  19. I remember that thread and how surprised we all were that the faxed/emailed copy was accepted. I would not give up hope yet. Do they have travel insurance? And would it cover any of this?
  20. I think you are expecting too much from the port staff. But there are people there whose job it is to assist passengers with this type of problem. Hope they can help here.
