So disappointed with Royal Caribbean

That was from the original cantata. He was always Elvis. -

I guess so, I have it memorized! Of course I can say that about 20-30 musicals. 🎶The world’s turned upside down!🎶 -

Stage and screen have always fictionalized history. Heck history fictionalizes history. To show historical figures as real, flawed people and to perhaps lead to further exploration of the subject isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It made me read the biography. Fascinating but was even the book totally accurate? None of us were around back then so we’ll never really know. -

It was a live broadcast on Fox pre-covid. I was not actually a fan of the movie. Always prefer the energy of a live performance. Either way, it is a terrific show. -
First cruise with RCI coming up - not at all impressed

I was just gonna say the same thing! There’s a reason milk & bread are in the back of the store. Same with moving stuff around in Dept stores. If you know exactly where what you want is, you’ll miss the impulse purchases. -

I thought Judas was INCREDIBLE in that show! John Legend was meh. And I don’t get Sara bourelle (sp?). Just don’t see talent there.🤷♀️ And to the poster who suggested Hamilton was overhyped Broadway, clearly you are not paying attention. A Chorus Line, Rent, heck almost anything by Sondheim, even going back to Bernstein’s West Side Story in the day. Moving the theater along to previously unheard/unexplored territory. Relating to an entirely new audience. This is how theater evolves. Can you tell I’m a theater geek??😁 -
Any experence with halloween on RCI?

Yeah and we sat on our parents’ laps in the front seat of cars that had no seatbelts. Times change. I took my kids out maybe 3-4 times during their school years. Both managed to become (mostly) functioning adults. Would I recommend doing it all the time? No. But family time is also a learning tool. -

🎶what’s the buzz? Tell me what’s a happenin? What’s the buzz?🎶. Was in a production at the historic (for CT) Warner Theater in 1986. Just the best!! -

I love Joseph as it’s original cantata. Then they expanded it to a full musical and ruined it. The difference between the original music and the added is jarring and just does not mesh IMHO. As for Cats - 🎶McCavity the Mystery Cat is called the Hidden Paw🎶 -

Don’t know about anyone else, but complaining about a free cruise? And to start out calling RC cruisers “cork sniffers”? Let’s just be rude & snotty from the get go. I think you should ask your in laws to move your cruise to carnival.- 90 replies

Clearly they drove to the port! -
I applaud you teaching your kids to be mobile, flexible and good travelers at an early age. This is a great thing for them. But this is a message board. Did you think no one would suggest not going? CC is kinda harsh. You have to just skip over unsolicited advice/comments. Hope you and they have a great trip. BTW the post to which you referred was not snarky or rude, just an opinion.

Are there options for renting loungers/umbrellas at Eagle Beach? Access to good food/drink/facilities?

Mariner check in procedure port canaveral

You will get everything from the aforementioned hour to right in. It all depends on how many are arriving at the same time you are. My opinion (which is like an unmentionable body part - everyone’s got one!) would be to arrive around 11am. Drop off luggage & park. If you are 10 minutes one way or the other, they’ll still let you on the ship! I have no experience with testing at the terminal so have no opinion (though I still have that body part!) on that. Don’t sweat it too much and enjoy the cruise -

In the minority here. I don’t like the souvenir cups. Big & bulky from the outside, holds very little drink (I get it, that’s the insulation). I find it a pain to carry around and it doesn’t fit my hands well. After my first try, don’t think I’ve ever used one on any other cruise. Those get passed to the grands. It needs a handle!!’

Yes but the ship shuttle is more expensive I believe. Cruise Control Transportation is $20pp each way and Cortrans is $25. They also use 13 person mini buses vs full sized so corralling less people at a time.
