  1. This happened when drinks went from $12 to $13 a few years ago. The package verbiage continued to reference $12 limits but in fact it covered the new $13 prices.
  2. If they raise drink prices across the board ie the $13 drinks are now $14 drinks, the package will still cover them. You would only pay more for a drink over and above that threshold, for example a VERY premium liquor or an expensive wine.
  3. Could be quick, could take forEver! Don’t worry about it. They will (and require) check your actual vax card at the terminal.
  4. Sorry but absolutely true and NOT urban legend. I received several notifications from Royal that we could arrive up to an hour prior to our scheduled time including the concierge email.
  5. I always remember a show on PBS in the late 80’s that looked at how tv advertising is created. Made my then 4 year old daughter watch with me as they showed talking/dancing dolls & action figures & the very fine print saying the toys don’t actually do any of that. And ice cream made of crisco & paint to look creamy but somehow not melt.
  6. Rooms look like mirror images size wise.
  7. Like everything else, you must do your research. Should you have to? No, room depictions should be close to accurate but this is not the reality. Why boards like this are so popular.
  8. Approximately 45 days. The exact date will show in the app. Click on the little torso upper right corner. My check in date showed up about 110-115 days out.
  9. Yes but when you are determining cost it helps to compare apples to apples. Just pointing out the package will be more than $75 if/when you make the purchase. Not necessarily obvious. I know. You know. A new cruiser might not.
  10. And they say you’ll get an email when it’s your turn to check in too. Don’t believe that either.
  11. Didn’t notice what was happening at PC. Had an early arrival time, one of the first to board too. But I didn’t even try to get show reservations. Actually never crossed my mind that this would be a reason people wanted to board early. I thought it was to start drinking!! 😁😁
  12. I get your point but I’m not sure the port staff is thinking about show reservations. The staggered arrival times are supposed to space out the crowds in the terminal as i’m sure you know. Their actual goal, IMHO, is to just get everyone on the darn ship as fast as possible. I don’t think they care about our desire to see shows.
  13. Depends on how much you will drink in a day plus how much of the non-alcoholic offerings you will consume. Remember to add 18% gratuities to that $75 cuz that’s what you will pay so really it’s $88.50 per day.
  14. You have an 11:30 CHECK IN time. That does not mean you BOARD at 11:30.
  15. Don’t wait for an email. Check in on the app will open, in my case at least, long before you get that email. Watch the date on the app & you’ll be fine.
  16. Nope Explorer out of Miami. Not sure about a fabulous price but one I was willing to book:
  17. Yeah but then I have to stop whatever I’m doing to check in. My CC reimburses me for it so it’s just easier to let SWA check me in.
  18. I would kill myself in an inside cabin, no light no air, no sir! If that doesn’t bother you then I guess an inside is ok. I need to be able to get air (I sleep with a window open about 2 inches all winter long!). There are nights I’ll sleep on the balcony. No chance I cruise without one.
  19. And truly, experience is everything. Most issues I’ve had with flights were on legacy carriers. Out of our mid-sized airport in CT, Southwest is 90% of the time the best choice - Jet Blue gets the other 10%.
  20. How is SW more because of the checked bags? SW doesn’t charge for checked bags.
  21. Early bird check in is only $20 per ticket, not a lot more.🤷‍♀️ Frankly in 15 years of flying on SWA I’ve never had an issue getting a decent seat without paying for EBCI. I use it only when checking in at 24 hrs is a problem, like when I’m on a cruise!
