Are "Elite Vacation Consultants" permanently assigned

I'm surprised that no one seems to know the answer. -
Good news with Celebrity cruise. Report the changes
patty1955 replied to tomcruiser1234's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We sailed a couple of weeks ago. Prime rib was on the menu. They've never charged for lobster, just for a second lobster. I don't care for lobster, so I order one in addition to my dinner so my husband can have a second one. -

We were on the Millennium 10 days ago and the food was greatly improved. The wine choices were good, including Decoy. -
That's not necessarily true. We were on the Infinity last October and the TV/movie system was horrible. Infinity wasn't "Revolutionized" and the system was the old one. We were in our cabin for 5 days (covid) and the only option was to connect my tablet and watch what I had downloaded.

Are "Elite Vacation Consultants" permanently assigned
patty1955 replied to patty1955's topic in Oceania Cruises
I asked this question 3 years ago and never got an answer to the question. The thread quickly got sidetracked to a discussion about the value of having a TA. Are "Elite Vacation Consultants" permanently assigned? I still don't like my Consultant and now when I call the cruise line about anything (including booking excursions) they transfer me to the consultant. I have 2 Oceania cruises booked and I'm sure it's too late to transfer them to a TA, assuming I could find one. -

You're right

Getting drunk on a cruise never crosses my mind but I know lots of people do.
-
You're correct. The problem is that no most people wifi means internet.
-
There are actually talking about intranet vs internet. You can almost always connect to the intranet, but not always the internet
-
We're just off the Millie. Around Japan, the service was pretty good. Around Hong Kong and Taipei, not so good.

I just paid $32 to upgrade one person to Premium Wifi for an 11 day cruise. You have to watch for sales.

Excursions still no available on Sept. cruise

I'm sure it's because they changed the first port from Bar Harbor to Newport. -
Excursions still no available on Sept. cruise
patty1955 replied to patty1955's topic in Oceania Cruises
I'll probably have to since Oceania doesn't have any snorkeling/scuba excursions. They said that without trying to book anything. The rep today tried and couldn't find any excursions for Newport. I thought about doing as you suggested and booking a place holder excursion but I really don't want to spend our first day onboard trying to book an excursion. And there's no guarantee that they will have the problem fixed by then. Wouldn't you know, Newport is the only port we haven't been to on this cruise. -
We are booked on a Nautica cruise to Bermuda on Sept. 18. We booked the cruise in Aug. 2023 and in Oct. 2023 we were notified that the first port was being changed to Newport, RI. Newport was the first port when we booked so there really wasn't a change. That should have been my first clue that it was going to be a problem. Since we booked, I have never had access to the excursions for Newport. The port has been greyed out in the planner with no access to that port. When I check while logged out, I can see several different excursions but I can't book them. The excursions in the other ports are different depending on whether I'm logged in or not. I have reported this problem in emails and phone calls to customer service. I'm always told that it will be fixed in "a few weeks" and I can always call and book with Oceania. I have contacted my Elite Vacation Consultant (Oceania rep) several times and I'm always told "a few weeks". Today I called to check on the price of a Newport excursion and book one but the Oceania rep can't book it because it's not linked to the sailing. He says to check back in "a few weeks" Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this? I have $600 excursion credit that has no value if I can't book an excursion.

We used to ask for them to empty it and they did. We found we didn't use it so we don't anymore.

Thank you!

We were on the Millennium last week. I don't know what the bathroom amenities were, they don't really say. The rooms was serviced daily even though we signed up for the "green" option. We asked our room attendant for a pitcher of ice and water early in the cruise and he refilled it twice a day, every day. There is the mini-bar fridge but we don't touch it.
