Good evening. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I didn't know who Joseph Brackett was until Graham's explanation. I haven't eaten all day, so it's an inadvertent diet day. No homework got done today. Good quote. I'll pass on the meal (pears) and drink. Maybe for the wine. I haven't been to Bar Harbor and my NE/Canada cruise in the fall isn't stopping there. A good day in history. It's also Nurses Day! What a day. I was just getting dressed this morning when BFF called and said he thought he'd broken his ankle. So I headed to his house, got him in the car and to the ER. He was right. He has a tib/fib fracture. It's in a kind of soft cast, due to the swelling. They gave him crutches with no instructions; just some papers and to watch a video at home! Of course he nearly fell on the way out, so they gave him a walker, which worked much better. In the old days, someone from PT would come to show the patient how to use them. Then off to pick up meds. One wasn't ready, and just as we neared his house they texted. So back to the pharmacy. Then getting him settled at home involved some steps, which he went up on his backside. We have an Orthopedic appointment on Thursday, who will decide if any surgery is necessary or just casting. Oy! He's all worried about laundry and lawn mowing and other things. Sadly I'm still restricted about how much I can do regarding lifting things, bending, etc. Where's the bubble wrap? I'm finally home, getting something to eat and drink. BFF's next door neighbor will bring him dinner tonight. @kazu Welcome back and thanks for our start. I will check on the iPad. I got frustrated and I'm now using a laptop with Windows to copy and paste the Cares List. I'll have to try Brian's way, although mine pasted fine except the formatting (mainly bold) was missing. I'm sorry to hear about your foot, and hope all the treatment can fix it up completely. Just a brief check in. BFF called this morning saying he thought he’d broken his ankle. He was outside his house in the wet grass with flip flops on, and slipped. Today is the first day I can drive. So I picked him up, got him in my car using my rollator, and here we sit at the ER.

Ah, the day in history of the "Iron Woman" as she was called. It's been raining here since last night, but not heavily. I did go upstairs to sleep. I was afraid to try lying on my back. I got about 5 hours of sleep. Today I need to get BFF to go to the PO; they won't pick up the packages I'm sending for the research study, as they're labeled hazmat (they are just nasal swabs contained in a tube and double wrapped. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. No to lumpy rugs and two different colored shoes. I hope special-abled pets are adopted and cared for. Good quote. I like the carrot cake (that and key lime pie are my favorites). Yes to the drink and if someone buys me the wine. I haven't been to Marseille. Gone with The Wind was a great book. It's cloudy here, with probable rain later. BFF and I had a nice dinner out - Mexican, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo a little early. No big plans today, but BFF may do some spraying of my mossy green garage walls (with me supervising, lol). I'll pass on the meal (pesto), drink and wine. I have been to Montevideo on my 2019 SA/Antarctica cruise. It's another sunny and warm day here, high of 83F. BFF went home last night, for early AM appointments and to cut his grass. I hope my guys come to mow, as the grass is tall from rain and being fertilized. BFF will be back this afternoon, and we're going out for dinner. I'm still sleeping downstairs in the recliner, but may try the upstairs bed this weekend. Being greeted by a moose on debarkation. Mendenhall glacier. We were supposed to do a helicopter ride and land on a glacier, but the weather was not good and it was too windy. So we went whale watching instead.

Ok to the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I've been to Maui, but not Kahului. I had Mr. Potato Head when I was growing up. It's warm (70F) and cloudy. Rain is on the doorstep. I woke up at 5 and went back to sleep until almost 9 - almost 9 hours of sleep! BFF and I made a road trip to the post office, my first time out in a car. I'm not sure what's on for the rest of the day. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up. I'll salute the tearing down of the Berlin Wall; I've seen the remnants around Germany while visiting. It's going to be hot here today. It's already 66F and sunny, going up to 80. I slept well last night. BFF went home as he had some early morning appointments. He'll be back this afternoon. I'll just be hanging out here at home, reading and trying to walk around a bit more. I still have incisional pain and can't bend without discomfort (I'm not supposed to any way). @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. @seagarsmoker It's good to hear that the new job is going well. @marshhawk I hope DH gets some help at his Pain appointment. @LambKnuckles I'm glad you're ok, but sorry the storms took out some of your electronic equipment. @smitty34877 I'm glad you were able to get in to see the Rheumatologist so quickly, and I hope that will help you out. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute Brave Hearts and those dealing with scary pediatric cancer as well as those protecting children from abuse. Superheroes can be inspiring, both in movies and real life. OSHA is important for worker safety. Good quote. Maybe on the meal. Pass on the drink and wine. I have not been to Kobe. It's already 76F and sunny. Soon a bit of AC may be needed. I slept about 8 hours; I had some trouble falling asleep, likely due to daytime naps (I'm going to try to cut those out). BFF and I have been watching movies and hockey. He got 1 piece of art up yesterday, 2 more to go today. Otherwise, just chill, read books, relax. I did get the indoor cacti fertilized, in preparation for being put outside next month. I hope to start moving a bit more next week. I hear people out mowing, taking advantage of the dry weather after all the rain we've had lately. @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our start today. Children should be taught to save. Good quote. Maybe on the meal. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Ilulissat. It's partly cloudy and in the 60's. We had rain starting early this AM. I heard it at 4AM. I briefly woke up at 2, 4 and 7AM, getting about 7 hours of sleep. The wound area is now very black and blue, but not more painful. No big plans for today, although maybe having BFF hang some pictures. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start and the photos. @grapau27 Thanks for the Devil Dog info. @aliaschief Appreciate your sharing your journey. I hope all in the path of storms stay safe. @Quartzsite Cruiser My instructions were the bandage was to come off after 24 hours. It had one small speck of blood on it, that's it. The wound is glued. I have to be careful not to let waistbands come across it, otherwise And I'm trying not to bend much. I just had BFF clean it with a baby shampoo solution daily and dry it. They just said not to soak it, like with a bath. I'm lucky to have BFF looking after me!

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute the Audubon Society. No Australian here to hug. We shouldn't forget Chernobyl and what it entailed. Funny Mel Brooks quote. Pass on the meal (fish), drink (well maybe yes to #2) and wine. I have been to Burnie, but not Hobart, Tasmania. Container ships are something we now rely heavily on. It's already 61F and sunny. It will be a nice day, and rain tomorrow, before the big warmup. I stayed downstairs in the recliner last night, and got in 7 hours of sleep (yay). Still a bit stiff and sore, but I think it's starting to ease up. The furniture restorers were just here, dropping off my reglued and reupholstered dining room chairs, and taking an antique table to work on. BFF is going to his house for the afternoon, to mow the grass and do some other things. He'll be back this evening. I think I'll get my first shower, using the walk-in shower here on the first floor. I have instructions to stay off the stairs! I think I'll catch up on Call The Midwife, something BFF wouldn't want to watch with me. @dfish Happy Birthday!
