  1. Here is the response I just received from Luggage Forward concerning Brazil: Hello, Thank you very much for contacting us. Unfortunately, at the moment we are not servicing Brazil due to the customs restrictions in the country. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Best regards,
  2. I would call them directly to re-confirm that they can/will pick up from ship in Rio....to make sure it isn't a generic email....
  3. Also not true - I personally know of people who have waited to buy the package in the middle of a long front end port intensive cruise so they can enjoy on the back end sea days as they cross the Atlantic....
  4. That is incorrect information as has been shown by all of the people who have discussed purchasing onboard and waiting several days to purchase onboard
  5. I am afraid your TA is not correct - we have never purchased the upgrade prior to boarding..
  6. Yes - not a problem...just skip that part and they will take your picture upon embarkation
  7. We sailed in January roundtrip from Miami....once we started up the Amazon it was very hot and humid! Wore quick dry tops, pants or dresses and changed clothes several times daily....we did not have many bugs except at night they were drawn to the lights on the ship...but they were outside on the verandah or on open decks not inside the ship. You will have a marvelous time even if you are a bit "glowing" while out and about!
  8. I can certainly relate to that and hopefully they will add back those amenities at the bar for future mid day comforts
  9. Perhaps her fellow seat mates were getting their coffee and/or snacks.....found people always willing to share the large booth if only a couple 🙂
  10. Don't forget that a pair of socks only counts as 1 item so you can up your numbers by sending those socks 🙂
  11. I will take your comments seriously when you have sailed on Vista - which I doubt you ever will. Just don't bash the rest of us for not sharing your same opinions. This is getting tiring . I love Riviera, in fact have a B2B2B booked for this Fall and one of our favorite cruises was on Sirena up the Amazon . We look for the good in all of our cruises
  12. On Vista Barristas has lots of nice comfy tables and chairs all around the floor to ceiling windows, with a large spread of non-carb breakfast items and a barrista that will make fresh brewed coffee drinks to order...I will take that over a urn full of coffee made several hours ago or a self serve espresso machine..understand you have never sailed on Vista so difficult for you to comment on things not ever experienced, Those of us that have sailed on all 7 of the ships can make experience based comments - both pro and con. Here is a link to a video of barristas on Vista - Hopefully this gives a better idea of how nice early morning coffee is on Vista. In the morning the food area has fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, meats, etc., and is continually changed during the day to reflect foods appropriate for the time of day. So there are 2 areas serving food...
  13. No Vista has barristas and an amazing bakery and breakfast items with a 180 degree view for our early morning coffee so we pay less and get more.....
  14. The 2 specialty guaranteed reservations are for eating in the restaurant and have no effect on dining in-suite (if you are in a PH suite or higher), You can have in-suite dining as often as you want from either of the specialty restaurants (in a PH suite or higher served by your butler) You also can request additional reservations for dining in the specialty restaurants and, if available, are also no charge. There is no charge for dining in the specialty restaurants for anyone at any time. There are a few specialty wine paring dinners that are held each cruise which do have an additional charge. They are held in a small private dining room onboard.
  15. At least on Oceania, you must actually go to your muster drill station and check in so you do know where to go....generally do this as soon as you board..
  16. Unfortunately O does not have coffee makers in the room so we are trying to offer work arounds....I believe Viking offers them,
  17. We use room service/butler for morning coffee/tea....and even add some fresh fruit and perhaps a bakery treat...also works well as our morning wake up call!
  18. nor will they ever be the same price as the Extraordinary Sale back in 2023...all that matters now is what the price is for the cabin we want on the itinerary we want. Continually comparing pricing to a once in a life time sale put on to bring back customers after COVID is irrelevant today.
  19. The $30.00 pp is not retroactive so many people wait a day or two to see if it makes $$$ sense to purchase the upgrade. Also, there is the Captain's party which provides free drinks for several hours in all bars on the second or third night.
  20. At that time they did not know what a success Aquamar and the new Waves would be and chose to take some of the time and laborers to do those refurbishments that could be enjoyed by everyone onboard, It appears that all suites got the soft good refurbished. The only big refurbishment that Riviera got and Marina will not is the remake of some of the bathrooms.
  21. I have never seen just the beverage package ever "on sale"....there have been some sales via some TA's where the cruise fare includes pre-paid gratuities and the beverage package...every cabin now includes 2 WIFI separate WIFI accounts, irregardless of when you booked your cruise. I believe you can change your old "OLife" choice from OBC (which is exactly the $$$ you paid for OLife with a choice) to the select beverage package (which is worth more $$$ than the OBC you chose). A much better deal if you enjoy wine, beer, champagne with your meals...
  22. Not a big deal - you don't go anywhere for an actual drill, just turn on the video in your room and let it run.....if you change cabins, you may need to go check in at your new muster drill location so you know where it is...
  23. It may depend upon if you stay in the same cabin or move during B2B - we did a B2B2B in same cabin last Fall and did not have to rewatch.
  24. We have stayed in a concierge verandah on all 3 size ships and did find the drawer space on Vista was lacking in the main room but enjoyed the new drawer/cupboard in the bath. We used this for our underwear, socks, etc. and found that quite handy for dressing after showering. We did like not having the hanging closet next to the bed. We are back on refurbished Riviera this Fall and will compare with our cabin on Vista - both A1.
  25. We were on a Bermuda cruise NYC - MIA in October (a few years back).....O canceled going to Bermuda and we spent an extra night in NYC. Terrible, right ! It was just a hurricane and it devastated Bermuda but O should have been able to figure out how to go anyways!
