  1. yes - you will have 2 separate WIFI accounts. Each person in the cabin needs to set up their own account. There has been some confusion thinking it is one account with 2 sign ins which is not how is works.
  2. If being entertained with multiple options until late at night, then Oceania would not be a good fit
  3. Since FDR founded Oceania, he is treated royally on all their ships....he just handed the reigns over to his son last May during the Vista christening.
  4. All non-alcoholic drinks are included - coffee drinks, soda, mocktails, etc. There might be some exceptions like an alcohol free liquor, wine or beer.
  5. You will need to let Oceania know that you will be off the ship and provide contact information in case they need to contact you with a change of schedule, docking, etc.
  6. I think it depends upon the itinerary as we have been able to have door opened on some ships/itineraries but not on others...just my thought
  7. Thankfully our TA is on top of the sales and lets us know with each sale that comes up for a cruise we are booked on, the pluses and minus so we can decide if it is in our favor to rebook.reprice. We have never booked cruise only so can only compare our past cruises under OLife (no air) and now under SM (no air). She spends her time not mine and gives us her perks too.
  8. And you continue to argue with those of us that have a different opinion of the bakery that we are wrong and your opinion is the only correct one. Each time someone post their enjoyment of the bakery you reply they are wrong because, in your opinion, it is a waste of space. I don't frequent the casino but there are many that do so, in my opinion, it is a waste of space but I would never argue with someone else that enjoys the casino and what it offers. During our 32 days on Vista, I found many items at the bakery which I did not find elsewhere on the ship and what I would expect to find in a bakery.
  9. Thank you for proving my point - you were comparing what Virgin Voyages is doing now to what O did in Nov....I am in no way debating what O did in Nov was acceptable or right .
  10. True but you quoted what Virgin Voyages is doing now for their just canceled Red Sea cruises not last Nov so thought it relative to mention what O is doing NOW for their just canceled Red Sea transit cruise.....apples to apples
  11. O is giving a full refund to those affected by the cancellation of Insginia's Red Sea transit. The ATW is also now going around Africa.
  12. SM wine/champagne is included on the brunches at sea in the GDR - very lovely to add a glass of bubbly to this amazing spread!
  13. How to make Lemonade (or limoncello) out of lemons!
  14. I have never found that O "does not allow" independent passengers on early tenders.....they give priority to their tours and fill in with independent passengers. We have been able to get on one the early tenders every time we wanted to...
  15. Please let me know where you found this great fare as I have been searching and can't come close. Perhaps your dates are better or you have a great website for discounted business class fares, When I checked the JAL website, it was double your price for a roundtrip: Tue 8 OctTuesday, October 8, 2024 13:301:30 PM Seattle (Seattle Tacoma International ) Wed 9 OctWednesday, October 9, 2024 15:403:40 PM Tokyo ( Narita International , Terminal 2 ) Fare: Business Special Plus Fare conditions Return flight Tue 22 OctTuesday, October 22, 2024 17:405:40 PM Tokyo (Narita International , Terminal 2 ) Tue 22 OctTuesday, October 22, 2024 10:2510:25 AM Seattle ( Seattle Tacoma International ) Fare: Business Special Plus Fare conditions Total$ 6,762.50 (USD)
  16. Since I am only in need of a one way back to PDX, I did not check roundtrip out of SEA...I was just noting that for our one way in October, using the change in HNL was much less expensive than flying JAL with a change of planes in SEA, SFO or LAX. It sounds like you have a much better option out of SEA roundtrip,
  17. yes - we have to change planes somewhere for PDX....JAL/HA around $1800.00 pp, , JAL - around $4500.00.. be sure to choose the flight between HNL - TYO that is operated by JAL as HA also has non stop flights too.
  18. For 1/2 the price, I can change planes in HNL.....
  19. Luckily you have found other places that provide you with options you prefer and for those of us that love the options offered at the bakery -- everyone has a choice!
  20. We are looking at a cruise on Riviera that ends in Japan....found a great one way business class fare on Hawaiian Air that is using JAL equipment between Tokyo and Honolulu, change planes and then HA equipment between HNL and PDX .......
  21. Not mentioned in this update from O
  22. Well, on our Antarctica expedition cruise we skipped the Falklands to scurry across the Drake Passage ahead of a big storm....weather was iffy at the Falklands so no guarantee we would be able to tender in and Captain made the decision to skip and steam on. I will take the Captain's assessment of the seas rather than an arm chair quarterback back home in their easy chair.
  23. On our Vista cruises the Barrista/bakery area was in high demand and the tables and chairs were full most of the day...people were enjoying both the offerings from the bakery and barristas. When the menu changed between breakfast and lunch at the bakery there was a line. The only time we were able to walk in and easily find a place to sit was mid/late afternoon. It filled back up when it switched to wine and appetizers in the evening. We often had breakfast/brunch there on days when a smaller meal with a view and a delicious coffee from barristas was perfect versus the larger Terrace or Waves. We did love Aquamar for breakfast/lunch too and sometimes would grab a goodie from there and take it up to barristas to add to the items from there and enjoy the view! Just a different reaction to barristas/bakery .......
  24. The post was quoting what a TA posted that they received from O ......the particular site on this specific social media is run by a TA so he post communications he receives from O. O did not post the cancelation on social media...I would check with your TA as O did send out emails to those affected.
