Actually , no ..total investment per bottle was about $15.00 and they take up no room and no weight in our suitcase. We initially took one set of bottles home with us and use the cover and flip top on those at home.

If you booked your cruise prior to the implementation of SM, you were given the option of keeping your booking under OLife or Cruise Only or switching to SM. There will be many people sailing onboard Oceania for the next few years that were booked under the old program.

It can be confusing as some indicate cruise only (meaning no air) but when you read the fine print, you find it includes beverage package and SBC for excursions,,,which means it is Simply More with no air

The room on Vista where they were talking would no longer have computers, they would only be in the Internet room next door. Presently that room has many long tables with shelves with games, etc. around the side. I believe the intended use was for private meetings by a group onboard but never saw it used for that purpose

I am afraid the rep was not well informed unless this change just happened this week. There definitely are happy hours every day, a Captains Welcome party, when there were 2 hours of free drinks at most bars and the first timers and loyalty receptions. As a newbie you would be invited to the Captains Welcome party and the first timers reception. We just cruised a while ago and have friends currently sailing on 2 different Oceania ships.

We bought insulated sleeves that fit over the bottles provided and also flip top straws that fit - we take those with us and use with provided onboard containers. Take very little room in suitcase and turn the containers provided into very useful water bottles. I know O should just provide in the first place but this is our very inexpensive work around....

There are many people who enjoy Ember and Aquamar (which replaced the area used by La Reserve) ..based upon the number of people enjoying Aqauamar during breakfast and lunch, it had a much higher usage than I ever saw with La Reserve. On Vista they had created several private dining areas where they held the La Reserve dinner menus (for a fee) so that option is still avaIlable.

We wore the same clothes we would wear to eat in the GDR and the specialty restaurant. O does not label Embers as the same as TC. That label has been assigned by people who are not happy that it replaced Jaques.

We were on Vista OCT 23 for 32 days (B2B2B) and were able to order any drink at all 3 Captain's Party and also during happy hour.....

Not quite true - an agency/agent does not have to have an AMEX approved travel agent designation. Any licensed travel agency/agent can get the AMEX perks for their client. The requirement is that the client must have used their Platinum or Centurion true AMEX card to pay for the cruise. Our TA is not an AMEX approved agency/agent and we have received our perks on every cruise that qualifies.

They do not bring a bottle but will keep your glass filled - never tried to order 2 at same time but you can always ask

We very much enjoyed our cruise on the Amazon on Oceania Sirena - roundtrip Miami.....it was very hot and humid but loved it! It was in October of 2018

The $25.00 corkage fee is for bringing a personal bottle of wine to a dining venue not ordering a bottle of wine from the menu...2 different things. I indicated once everyone is on SM and wine is included with your meal, they "may" do away with charging a $25.00 corkage fee for bringing your personal bottle of wine to a dining venue.

Yes as that pertains to your personal wine being brought to a dining venue.....that could change in the future when everyone onboard is sailing under SM but who knows..

They wouldn't have since she indicated that they had booked before SM so unless they picked the beverage package as a perk, they would not have the notation on their world card

Yes - I think the issue is that some people think it means you have 2 logins under 1 account and so can have 2 devices on at the same time or 2 people can be online at the same time. It isn't explained very well that you need to actually set up 2 separate accounts - one for each person in the cabin. Then each signs in under their account. The IT support crew was busy the first few days of our last cruise assisting people to get both accounts set up and explainging how to utilize.

For those sailing on Vista, they now have outlets and USB by the bedside tables so no need for an extension cord....can't remember on O and R ships

We were in a concierge verandah cabin on Vista for 32 days and used the corner cabinet in the bathroom for storing lots of our clothes. This cabinet has upper shelves behind mirrors, counter top and several drawers down below. It also has a very large drawer the full length of the vanity for storing all of your bathroom items, There are also drawers in the nightstands, desk and shelves above the firdge and in the closet. If you google Concierge Verandah Oceania Vista, there are several videos giving you a great idea of the storage.
