  1. This is the stuff. You would have to fight me for it. All my neighbors and guests swoon over it also. You too can order from https://preservecompany.com/collections/pickles-salsa-savoury/products/caramelised-red-onion-chutney They've got lots of other fabulous stuff too. If you decide to do another Canada/New England cruise, let me know. I don't think Celebrity does the wonderful 14-night ones any more, though.
  2. I would find 4 people in a regular cabin a crowd. To me, your best bet would be to book a veranda cabin with an inside across the hall for the kids.
  3. Thanks, Kevin. I fondly remember our day with you and I order those Prince Edward Island Preserves by the 6-pack now! I'm kind of off cruises that require flying at the moment, being as how flying is such a PIA. But if I head back your way, I'll let you know.
  4. I think it's the luck of the draw and how fast the inventory is moving on a particular ship. I have purchased two iPads in the past with OBC (back in the day when we got OBC!) and have been happy with the purchases. My current one is an iPad Pro which I got for $100 off. I don't need my iPad to be the latest and greatest, I just need to be able to read books on it when I want to.
  5. Celebrity cruisers are awesome. During the pandemic when I was having a problem getting a Covid test, a woman on my roll call offered to take me to a place in Boston when I arrived there. Fortunately, I finally got a test in Florida. And, once upon a time, when I was having a hard time finding a private tour in Prince Edward Island, a cruiser who lived there said he would take me out for the day. Had a wonderful time. I did not know either of these people personally.
  6. Last fall I was a guest in Luminae several nights. The chit was always brought to me to sign. You must get authorization for guests from the maitre d'.
  7. Last fall it was $10 for breakfast, $20 for lunch, and $30 for dinner.
  8. My butlers on MSC have been mostly meh. I've had some fabulous butlers on Celebrity.
  9. I had just returned from a trip to San Francisco the day before the quake. I had a client who had driven across the Bay Bridge just before it collapsed. The good thing was it collapsed that dreadful freeway downtown which was not rebuilt.
  10. Well, try and behave. 😁 Let me know if you figure out anything interesting for Antigua. Carolyn & I are off on Reflection in two weeks. Looking forward to her Zenith party.
  11. I'd also be interested in what you did. Last time I was there, we did Segways, so I'd like to do something different this time.
  12. I'm looking forward to your review. I've not sailed on E class yet. I have Beyond booked for a holiday cruise--it was booked back when prices were semi reasonable and included gratuities and OBC. If I were to book it today, it would cost $10,000 more, have no OBC, and not have gratuities included. Yikes!
  13. Yes, I now take a lovely neighborhood walk with some of my neighbors every morning. Could never do that prior to getting my bionic knees. And no more having to rent a scooter on board. The ultrasound pronounced me blood clot free, so all is well. Except with my old brain. I neglected to put a lunch in my electronic calendar & thus did not get a reminder. Apparently my brain decided one event for the day was enough and I didn't even notice it on my written calendar until 2:00 p.m. As I said before, this getting old is not for sissies. 😁
  14. Thanks. I get the stitches out tomorrow from my recent vein surgery. Decided to wait and do the other leg until I get back from my cruise. This getting old is not for sissies!
  15. Midship near the elevator is a great location. That's where I always try to book. I ended up with a cabin between the midship and the forward elevators, which is not ideal from my perspective, but I'll take it for the price! The regular balconies on the Summit are adequate. There are 4 CC cabins on deck 6 which are a tad larger and have larger balconies: 6143, 6144, 6135, and 6136, although the last two are connecting staterooms.
  16. Looking forward to following along on another adventure with you and Iain. I'll be on the Reflection part of the time, but hope to be able to keep up. Bon Voyage!
  17. Welcome aboard! I didn't get a cabin in a prime location either, but I'm not complaining because of the rate and the unusual itinerary. It should be a wonderful cruise.
  18. Thanks for the information. Should I need to interact with Celebrity again, I'll give it a try. Basically what I've been doing since my CVP vanished is to call the Zenith desk. They then connect me to someone who can help me.
  19. How are you so lucky as to have a CVP? I used to have one and he was great, but he has vanished and I've not been assigned a replacement. If you like yours, would you be willing to share that person's name and contact info?
  20. I put a courtesy hold on a cabin yesterday and finalized it today. The deposit is refundable, so if Celebrity tries to pull any nonsense about raising the price, I'm outta there.
  21. I've never seen slippers in a concierge cabin.
  22. Gratuities are not included. If Celebrity offers a deal on a bag of laundry, it will be offered to all classes of cabins.
  23. I don't usually do short cruises, but I've booked a B2B and both of them are fewer than 7 nights. Do they do evening chic on those cruises? Don't want to pack it and then find out it was unnecessary.
