  1. Just lined up and waiting for customers
  2. Depends upon your pier - I think there are 6. Taxi for about $25+ is another easy option.
  3. Taxi should be about $25+tip - the current flat rate fare should be posted in the cab. The ride to TPA takes about 15 minutes Uber was closer to $20 when we used in in early 2020 Lots of vans trolling for customers - the price was about $8-10 each, but you will need to wait for the van to fill up 😢
  4. It's only a 15 minute drive from the port to TPA - you will have lots of time to wait even with the 3:00 flight.
  5. Both Uber and Lyft service the FLL airport - no need to pre-book as cars are waiting.
  6. I agree - 2 taxi vans (about $30 each plus tip) is your best option. Larry's Limos will get you there in style, but will cost MORE.
  7. www.parksleepfly.com is one of several sites to check for these deals.
  8. Take I-4 for about 60 miles and then get off onto 417 (tolls) toward the airport - run that into 528 to PC. You will avoid the worst of the I-4 bottlenecks.
  9. We snorkel in Feb and were okay - a few margaritas before and after will help! 😎
  10. Arriving late? Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon or the nearby Homewood Suites are close to a strip mall with shopping (drug, grocery and liquor stores) plus dining and fast food options. You will not see much of Miami but your kids will be happy and well fed.
  11. If you are flying into FLL for a cruise out of Miami you will find many more "inexpensive" (compared to downtown Miami) hotel options near FLL. Use the link I provided above to start your search and then use a shared shuttle, like SAS or Go Airport, to get from your hotel or FLL to POM for about $15 per person. Same fare will get you back to FLL after your cruise, and SAS has a list of hotels that they pick up at posted on their web site - saving you a trip back to FLL just to catch the shuttle to POM. Uber or Lyft from FLL area hotels to POM should run about $50+ for the car - a good deal for 3-4 travelling together (as long as no one in the group packs like my wife!). If you need UberXL the fare will be about $75+, making the shuttle probably a better deal.
  12. Yes - same from MIA to POM or POM to MIA. I believe it is now $28 (should be posted in the cab) plus tip. About 11 or 11:30 would be the earliest I would try to fly out - figure you need to be at MIA about 2 hours prior to your flight with the typical TSA chaos (pre-check would help!), and the ride to MIA will take about 15-20+ minutes on a Saturday. Have a great cruise! 😎
  13. www.sunny.org has lots of info about FLL area hotels (plus local tourist info).
  14. www.sunny.org has a list of hotels with parking deals, as well as lots of other area tourist info. www.parksleepfly.com is another source to check.
  15. Uberx/Lyft - about $50+ Taxi - about $75+ Be one of the last off your first ship and you can be among the first aboard the second
  16. Welcome to the boards! 😎 Hampton Inn Mary Brickell in downtown Miami is the most often suggested option on this board and can shuttle you for a fee to the port. From the airport to the hotel you can use a taxi, Uber/ Lyft or some public transport options (if you can carry your own bags). A few hotels out near the airport used to offer both airport and port shuttles (Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon, Embassy Suites MIA and La Quinta East), but I am not sure they still offer port shuttles and you do not want to be stuck near the airport for 2 days. Budget and dates will help the suggestions to be closer to your target - your moderate might be my splurge - as hotel rates vary with the season (the $300+ room in Feb can go for under $100 in August). Have a great cruise!
  17. Luggage Lounge in South Beach will store your bags while you explore.
  18. Avis and Hertz have hotel locations very close to the port of Tampa
  19. It's worth seeing, but that is a LONG trip from Cozumel - you will spend more time on the bus and ferry than at the ruins. I would save it for a land vacation near PDC, but it's your call.
  20. Taxi will be about $75+ on the meter. UberX or standard Lyft should be about $50+ (but surge pricing may bump up the price - waiting until later to get off your first ship should help with the pricing). If this helps you owe me a pint - whatever bitter your local pours will be fine! 😎
  21. Should be about $16 each way - current fares will be posted on a board near the taxi line for your pier. Fare covers up to 4 passengers in the cab.
  22. How many in your group? Pre-virus there were often vans trolling for customers, but you had to wait for the van to fill up which could take a while for a small savings. Taxi between POM and MIA is only $28+tip (same fare for a van taxi or regular cab), and Uber or Lyft should save you a few dollars.
  23. I would consider a one-way car rental. All of the agencies in PC/Cocoa Beach will shuttle you to the port after you return the car.
  24. If a dinosaur like me can figure our Uber and Lyft, you will be fine.
