  1. I LOVE ice cream! It is one of my favorite foods. I agree that toppings ruin it. So those premium desserts pictured look terrible to me. But I would ( and have) paid extra for a scoop of really good gelato.. (Remember when Gelato used to be included in the coffee card?)
  2. Thanks for the concern. I currently take several classes on Zoom where i am a participant - not the teacher. We will be on the Equinox for all of February and i was just wondering about the viability of continuing to participate in these classes. They are 1 to 2 hours long each. It sounds like I may actually be able to do it.
  3. So there is no included (and I don't say free because we've paid to be on the cruise) ice cream or soft serve anymore at the Ice Cream Bar?
  4. Does anyone have any experience with Zoom working on Celebrity wifi?
  5. If this happened within the first few days after the price increase i would bet that IT just hadn't caught up with the change yet. Someone on one of our Roll Calls was also able to get the old move up price that first week.
  6. And if one is really nervous about touching there are always disposable plastic gloves. 100 for 3.99 https://www.amazon.com/Disposable-Poly-Plastic-Gloves-One-Size-Fits-Most/dp/B09PFBQRQK/ref=asc_df_B09PFBQRQK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598244660310&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15779387807231139066&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016982&hvtargid=pla-1752784702997&th=1
  7. If you used the tongs but didn't touch your face and then used hand sanitizer (or soap and water) before eating I think that would be sufficient. It's much more likely that you were next to someone who had Covid and got it from air droplets than from handling the tongs.
  8. Thanks - we'll look for them in Blu. Our favorite waiter and host from pre-Covid have moved on to other things so your recommendations are much appreciated. Did your tour stop, by any chance, at the Jardin de Balata Botanic Gardens? It's someplace we have wanted to visit but have had trouble finding tours there.
  9. Thanks for your glowing review! We'll be on the Equinox for 35 days this coming Jan and Feb. Are there any particular waiters you'd recommend in Blu? Also, as far as Karambole tours, this seems to be a food tasting tour . My husband is a vegan and I am vegetarian. In your opinion would the tour suit us? Thanks again!
  10. If you have a good TA they should check that all out before making any changes but just in case make SURE you tell the TA you are just checking and NOT to change anything before you specifically ok it.
  11. Are you saying that a solo cruiser has to pay for two people with AI because it's part of your cruise fare? If that's true then Princess, once again, makes more sense. Their Plus package isn't part of the cruisefare but is an add-on and includes gratuities, wifi and drinks (up to $15). Because it'd an add-on a solo cruiser only has to pay for one person.
  12. With your math the upgrade fro Elite and Elite+ would be 20.60/day. but it isn't. It's 14.14. I have absolutely NO idea how they get to that.
  13. I think you'll find that everything is slightly less expensive than Celebrity. We sail both lines.
  14. Premium teas are included in Classic. Sparkling waters just in Premium. (Everything in Classic is also included in Premium) We don't drink soda so I'm not sure which package includes them .
  15. I emailed earlier this morning. I was totally complimentary and just told them what a wonderful service it was and how we missed it. We'll see........... *
  16. Years ago, when Celebrity only had one drink package, we were introduced to Catena Cab on a cruise. At the time it retailed for around $15 a bottle. My husband, who is a total wine snob, even liked it. They no longer stock it on the ship but every so often we still buy a bottle and enjoy it.
  17. In the FWIW department - if you like Perrier or Evian or the like - that is not included in the Classic but IS included in the Premium. Celebrity WAY overcharges for them at something like $5 a (small) bottle. So unless you want to shlep bottles on board with you (and if you book longer cruises that would be almost impossible) - the upgrade is worth it even if the wine selection is atrocious.
  18. It’s been a while but if I remember correctly Celebrity always charged a little more than Princess for the service. (Just like corkage. Princess was $25 and Celebrity $30 or $35) Maybe they felt they had reached the top of what their customers would pay. Too bad they didn’t let us, the customers determine that.
  19. If you sail into Fort Lauderdale and your flight is out of Miami it can be no earlier than 2 pm. If you sail into Miami and fly out of Miami the flight can be no earlier than 11:30.
  20. It's $1000 per person minimum bid to upgrade from Aqua to a Sky Suite on a 10 day cruise so you'd think they could throw in the gratuities.
  21. And see if they will email you a written confirmation and print it out and bring it on the cruise!
  22. The line was for curbside!!!!! I NEVER see these lines in Detroit where we live. I think it's from cruiselines dumping thousands of passengers at a time. We have free luggage but still had to check it in.
