  1. On every cruise (on Celebrity, Disney and Princess) we've been on in the last twenty years or so at least, they start running out of berries after 6 or so days.First it's raspberries, then blueberries and finally strawberries. The ship takes on provisions at the beginning of the cruise and , since berries spoil, they try to take on only as much as they can use before they begin to spoil. You can go to local markets in port but the ship -due to health dept. regulations - cannot. And as far as NO single malt scotch on the whole ship - I find that hard to believe.
  2. You need to add up the price of all those separate things. You might find that the Plus package will cost less and still cover the non-alcoholic drinks you want. Just do it before the 14th
  3. I was hoping someone else would answer you because I'm not positive but I would call Princess first. Sometimes, if you have booked with a TA they won't talk to you but sometimes they will. If they won't then contact your TA to add what you want. BTW - you said you wanted to add gratuities, drinks and wifi. That IS the Plus package - did you mean just gratuities and wifi? Either way make sure you get written proof of what you've paid for just in case there's a problem once you board. And print it out and bring it on the cruise.
  4. OMG!!!! If they don't reverse the charge you should contact the fraud dept. of your credit card.
  5. Just an idea - go into your Princess app and look at Ocean Ready. It should show your Medallions as ordered and if you click on that it should show you the $0 price page. (I know it's only $10 but now it's become a challenge)
  6. The $10 is nothing but our cruise is very long and I'd prefer to give the extra gratuity to the staff in cash.
  7. When you order there is a screen (on the phone) which shows the total price of your order..Mine says $0.00. Take a screen shot of that.
  8. Our next Princess cruise isn't until Oct.23 but I took your advice and went ahead and ordered the Medallion. Felt kind of silly but what the hey. Thanks!
  9. And then they say So if I just have a deposit on that future cruise does that constitute pre-paying? Or do we have to pre-pay a part or the whole of the cruise? We've been cruising for a long, long time and I don't ever remember language that was so unclear.
  10. Are you sure? We booked with the old Princess Plus. I don't care about the desserts or the fitness classes or whether I get the Medallion shipped to me. But, in the past , when gratuities were raised, having a package grandfathered in what we paid. The language on this is so ambiguous that I don't know. The note on the bottom of the email says ^The new Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will be subject to full updated terms, conditions, and restrictions, which will be available here ❯ by December 14, 2022 (the terms on such site before the update apply to the original Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages for which you booked). If you would like to upgrade to the new Princess Plus or Princess Premier package for voyages sailing February 20, 2023 and onward, you can visit Cruise Personalizer ❯ after December 14, and pay the difference in price. By upgrading, you must agree to the updated terms, conditions, and restrictions. †Guests have up until 11:59 pm PT December 13, 2022 to pre-pay at current rates. Excludes new programs launching December 13, 2022, at new rates.
  11. That’s actually hopeful news for our cruises. He gets Christmas and New Years off and then (hopefully) comes back for the winter season.
  12. Eddie is definitely one of the very BEST cruise directors! He really makes a difference in the whole vibe of the ship! If you get a chance could you ask his vacation schedule. We are on the Equinox for 35 days starting Jan.30 and I would be so excited to know he'll be our CD! Thanks!
  13. SIX vegan options each night! Amazing!!!
  14. No. Has to be applied before boarding. The only advantage to doing it on the ship is that you can upgrade partway through the cruise so you'll save on those days that you're classic.
  15. Glad to hear it was only your busy schedule that kept you from posting!
  16. Since we're in between Black Friday and Cyber Monday I'm bringing this back up to see if anyone has found a sale on the upgrade. (I haven't found one but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.)
  17. Thanks - that's the regular upgrade price (and we get 15% off of that because we're Elite Plus if we upgrade pre-cruise ) ) but last year it was only $10 to upgrade so I was hoping maybe Celebrity would have a sale at that old price.
  18. In the past Celebrity has had sales on the price of the upgrades of the drink package (from Classic to Premium).. Just wondering with Black Friday coming soon if anyone has heard of this recently.
  19. Print out the online reservation and take it with you!!! May not help but can't hurt.
  20. Are those more or less expensive than regular suites? And, considering suite guests can eat in Blu, what other perks are there?
  21. Yes, your new cruise will go to the TA you booked the current cruise with. If you want something different then tell the booking agent on board . Also, it has happened to us a few times that Celebrity didn't let our TA know of the new cruise and she had to go searching for it so KEEP ALL PAPERWORK!!! (It's a pet peeve with me that Princess is able to not only keep everything straight but also all of my cruises , FCCs and other details are able to be viewed by me online. If Princess can do it then Celebrity ought to be able to figure it out.)
  22. I have another suggestion - maybe find someone doing a "Live From" thread and ask them your question about the change. The rest of us answering from home may not have current info about new changes.
  23. We've done that multiple times in the past so if Celebrity is no longer doing it that would be something new. (When you book onboard, if you have an agent of record the new cruise should automatically go to your agent. Check with the onboard booking person that that will happen Then when you get home your agent can just move the cruise into his/her group. You might then be responsible for a larger deposit but you should still keep all the benefits you got from booking on board.)
  24. Thanks for the balanced review of the IV. You've basically confirmed what I thought. Your pictures of the bathroom got me thinking - is it still possible to get the small bars of soap if you request them?
