Since we're in between Black Friday and Cyber Monday I'm bringing this back up to see if anyone has found a sale on the upgrade. (I haven't found one but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.)

Thanks - that's the regular upgrade price (and we get 15% off of that because we're Elite Plus if we upgrade pre-cruise ) ) but last year it was only $10 to upgrade so I was hoping maybe Celebrity would have a sale at that old price.

In the past Celebrity has had sales on the price of the upgrades of the drink package (from Classic to Premium).. Just wondering with Black Friday coming soon if anyone has heard of this recently.

Yes, your new cruise will go to the TA you booked the current cruise with. If you want something different then tell the booking agent on board . Also, it has happened to us a few times that Celebrity didn't let our TA know of the new cruise and she had to go searching for it so KEEP ALL PAPERWORK!!! (It's a pet peeve with me that Princess is able to not only keep everything straight but also all of my cruises , FCCs and other details are able to be viewed by me online. If Princess can do it then Celebrity ought to be able to figure it out.)

I have another suggestion - maybe find someone doing a "Live From" thread and ask them your question about the change. The rest of us answering from home may not have current info about new changes.

We've done that multiple times in the past so if Celebrity is no longer doing it that would be something new. (When you book onboard, if you have an agent of record the new cruise should automatically go to your agent. Check with the onboard booking person that that will happen Then when you get home your agent can just move the cruise into his/her group. You might then be responsible for a larger deposit but you should still keep all the benefits you got from booking on board.)

@GenerationX - I can't find the quote but you said you aren't planning on eating in Blu very much on this cruise. Since the Aqua cabins still have the dreaded Infinite balcony I'm curious why you upgraded to Aqua on this cruise?

This is from another thread about MoveUp offers. Does anyone know if you upgrade this way do all of the benefits of the upgraded cabin kick in? Another question - can you use an FCC from a cancelled cruise (from the cash portion we actually paid) towards a MoveUp?

You're supposed to put it in a paper bag. I'm not positive but I think I was told to put it in there for a week. it can then be re-used. N-95s or KN94s.

I know lots of people say masks don't prevent disease but I took a three week seminar this summer where ,after the first several days , where the majority of people were unmasked , Covid ran rampant. None of us who masked faithfully while inside the very full seminar rooms got sick. Coincidence - maybe.

We did that cruise in Feb. 2020. Because of the limited news access we were pretty much unaware of the unfolding epidemic until we returned home. However, by the last nine sea days home many, many people (including my husband) were coughing and sick. They told everyone it was the flu. I'm still glad we did it because we got to spend two days on Bora Bora and they no longer allow the larger ships access. I think Tahiti is my favorite place in the world.

My husband got the "flu" on a cruise in Feb. 2020. (We still think it might have been Covid because the symptoms fit and he came home with Pneumonia). They gave him Tamiflu and an antibiotic which totaled almost $400. So I'm not surprised by $800 for Paxlovid. Thank goodness we have GeoBlue!!!!
