  1. For those that were cancelled, do not be surprised if you receive a computer generated email from Celebrity in the future telling you to get ready for your cruise (advertisement for buying shorex, etc) or a letter from the CEO wishing you a good cruise and thanking you for sailing with Celebrity.
  2. Not anymore. There used to be a library on Deck 8 midship, but Celebrity replaced it with two inside cabins during Summit's last dry dock (Revolution makeover). Constellation (below) and Infinity still have their libraries there.
  3. When we stayed in Rome in early October before our westward Transatlantic cruise, there were no COVID requirements either--masks, spacing, proof of vaccination, etc. Our cruise stopped in Toulon, Palma de Mallorca, and Cartagena and it was like Rome--no requirements. Some photos of maskless tourists during our trip for your inspection: Colosseum Tour Dinner at Da Enzo al 29 in the Trastevere district in Rome Early morning at the Pantheon Lunch time at Palma de Mallorca
  4. It could be worse. When Celebrity Covid cancelled the 2021 Australia/New Zealand season (Eclipse) passengers were given only one week to make their Lift & Shift decisions. Depending on the sailing, it was only 3-5 months notice before the date of the cruise. Here is a link to the cancellation notification which also details the compensation.
  5. For a family of seven, I would even consider adjacent FVs (corner and non-corner). On the other hand if you hold both opposite corner FVs for a scenery intensive cruise (e.g. Alaska), you pretty much have all views from the ship covered. Sunset from Millennium FV, Mediterranean Sea, Jun 2007
  6. We were introduced to one of his pieces adorning Constellation last October. Of course, the famous ceiling work near you is outstanding!
  7. Here is the Celebrity flyer: Service Members Always Save
  8. Reminds me of the time I was in a line of cars waiting to park at the public beach in Southern California back when I was in college. By the time my car entered the parking lot, the police directed me to park in the last open space which was a handicapped spot and then they closed the lot.
  9. I don't blame you. Of course it's not rational, but this whole situation defies ration.
  10. It appears we've gone through a full business day with no new reports of someone having just received a cancellation. Perhaps the storm is over.
  11. Another reason for Celebrity NOT to reduce housekeeping to once a day!
  12. It is worth calling FBC directly if you have a pair of flights that you are interested in booking or getting a quote. Not sure why AA is not showing up. It's not because they are excluded.
  13. You go to the Hot Glass Studio to personally make the appointment. Of course, it is best to go as soon as you board to get your choice of times.
  14. The minimum bid doesn't guarantee that you will win the Move Up. So a successful Move Up bid could likely be higher. My understanding is that whatever perks you had with the original booking (gratuities, etc) is what you have after the Move Up. Also you don't get the extra Club Points (loyalty club brochure) associated with the cabin one successfully moves up to. However in your case, you do. Plus you save $200 today. You should feel like a winner.
  15. Congratulations. It appears that you are getting very good at not accepting "no" as an answer. You are either persistent or charming or both. With the savings, you can now go to LPC and Tuscan Grille when you tire of Luminae. Oh, the choices....
  16. When I scanned the thread, I noted Posts 326 & 338 (Fri). The reports were the most recent but it was not clear how old their actual cancellation notice was. I presume nothing was sent out over the weekend. Let' see what today brings. Hopefully nothing.
  17. Let me restate my question: when's the last time we received a report from someone having just been notified that their booking has been cancelled?
  18. Have the "your booking has been cancelled" notifications stopped?
  19. Since you acquired your suite so recently, prices likely haven't changed. It is worth a call.
  20. Back in June, Celebrity ran a zero supplement for select cruises (Solo Promotion Flyer). Some couples took advantage of this deal to book two adjoining cabins to get an extra bathroom out of it. It did not cost more than booking a single cabin with double occupancy.
  21. Thank you. The free shuttle takes you to the port gate? Or further?
  22. Your UV cabin is gone. That was fast. It reminds me of those synthetic isotopes that are made in the laboratory and only exist for a few minutes.
  23. Is Cartagena a shuttle bus port, or can you just got off the ship and walk to the shops, etc?
