  1. No, I didn't. However the interdenominational services have been listed in our past Christmas cruises.
  2. There wasn't a non-denominational Christmas/Eve service listed during our Solstice sailing.
  3. We were on Solstice for Christmas 2023. In the Christmas Eve Celebrity Today, it listed an 11 pm "Christmas Mass with Father Leo" at the Solstice Theatre. We were also on Solstice during Christmas 2019 (pre-Covid) and the Christmas Eve Celebrity Today listed an 11pm "Interdenominational Christmas Eve Service" also held at the Solstice Theatre.
  4. Sorry to read about your husband’s skiing accident. I hope he recovers quickly and that you’ll be able to cruise.
  5. Sorry to read this happened to you. On embarkation day, I usually don’t look at the shorex envelope laying in our stateroom right away as there are other things on my mind and the shorex is usually several days off. I guess I’ll be sure to look at them much sooner next time.
  6. Yes, I received an email alerting me to the sale.
  7. I know that there was a large Memorial Day sale last year that was pretty good for me. I ended up cancelling several shore excursions and rebooking them under a more favorable price and saving quite a bit of money in the process.
  8. From what I understand, your whole trip will be a treat.
  9. There is a dedicated area where gelato is sold. This gelateria is usually in a small location that looks kind of abandoned. For Eclipse, it is on Deck 5 (starboard) near Cafe Al Bacio. Eclipse's Oceanview Cafe up on Deck 14 does not have gelato but it does has ice cream and sorbet (included as part of your cruise fare). So there's that.
  10. Your wheels observation makes a lot of sense and it certainly is consistent with their sign. It would have been better for the sign to simply have said that.
  11. Good afternoon (from the USA), Oliver. Have you tried to order from the MDR menu on Edge class ships (as an Aqua passenger)?
  12. Ok. I was pretty sure but not 100% sure about Millennium class ships. We have a UV cabin booked on the Revolutionized Summit so I was hoping that Celebrity would leave those cabins alone.
  13. Yes, but Horizon Suites are not on all Solstice class ships. Only Silhouette now and soon on Equinox. For Solstice, Eclipse, and Reflection, the cabins remain as Ultra Deluxe Veranda (formerly Family Veranda under the old categorization system). There was a parallel effort to convert the corresponding Millennium family cabins to suites but I believe Celebrity has abandoned that for now. Oh and one piece of trivia, the first Celebrity ship to have Horizon Suites was Horizon.
  14. This is a photo taken on embarkation day at the Singapore cruise terminal. This sign notifies you which bags are approved for being dropped off at the terminal and which bags were not approved (you have to carry the non-approved bags with you onto the ship yourself). There is an employee stationed by the sign at the cruise terminal who looks at the bags you are dropping off.
  15. What kind of formatting is that on your Celebrity Today itinerary?? Maybe an intern did it? Normally looks like this:
  16. There was an open invitation for all passengers to watch the Panama Canal crossing from Millennium's helipad last year (Apr 21 2023 sailing). Not sure exactly how Celebrity managed crowd control but the transit pretty much takes 8-10 hours (or something like that). In the past we usually have been invited once per sailing because of our loyalty status (just Elite).
  17. +20% gratuity that appears when you check out for payment.
  18. Here is the web link to the FAQs which does not require any downloading..
  19. Your possum photos crack me up. How many nights were you in Singapore? It was very hot (& humid) in Singapore when we were there in December.
  20. We have only done one TA and experienced that connectivity problem you described, but that was on Constellation before she was equipped with Starlink. Is this still a problem with Starlink?
  21. We did one of the slot tournaments that was held on Constellation in Oct/Nov 2023. It was run exactly as djneph described although in our case there was no final round as the person with the top score after everyone had a chance to play once was declared the winner. The tournament is conducted on a certain set of slot machines on the casino floor. In our case it was 8 slot machines (there were 4 other machines being used that are behind the 4 slot machines that you can see in the photo). So the tournament was run 8 players at time--where everyone had a chance to play once. The mechanics of the game was exactly as djneph described right down to the balloon popping. If you look at the photo, you can see that the 8 machines are tied together because the players in 2nd and 3rd place (among the 8 playing) are declared up on the top screen.
  22. I know that @Ken the cruiser had very positive things to say about Flora's zodiacs in terms of ease of entry and exit. Here is one of his posts from his recent Dec 2023 Flora sailing: link. The photos in his "Live" review show the zodiacs very clearly (one photo is reproduced below) and I can see how they are a better design than Xpedition's.
  23. That is a shame that the Celebrity shorex tour description changed to something less attractive to you after you purchased it. I was looking through Celebrity's offerings (here's a link to the Mar 14 (aka PI Day) 2026 sailing; just be sure that you are logged off the Celebrity website for the link to work) but I now realize that the old tour description would not be listed. Were you given any formal notification that the tour changed? The floating market closest to the Laem Chabang port, Pattaya  Floating Market, had a serious fire last year and I wonder if that is the reason that the lunch was scrapped. Nonetheless I can understand your disappointment.
