  1. Yes, and this is the first person to call if .....
  2. Love love your photos/clips of our fab beautiful Bermuda! Yep, the weather has been great all the 3 days you're here. Another web cam shot that include the SailGP sailboats ...
  3. Only one of the above ports is tender port - Great Stirrup Cay.
  4. ^^^^ this. I did that when we went to Katakolo the first time. The second time we just walked around the town and had lovely lunch in one of the waterfront restaurants. Next time we get to go to Katakolo we'll do the Hop On Hop Off bus.
  5. We'd rather go to Katakolo than Corfu. Been there twice. Katakolo is closer than Corfu from Messina, and in turn Santorini is so much closer from Katakolo than Corfu. Expect better port hours in Katakolo and Santorini. I saw that there's a Hop On Hop Off bus in Katakolo! Goes to Pyrgos and back.
  6. Sorry to say .... if the couple say they're experienced cruisers/travellers with 30 cruises under their belt, it seems they need to learn a very important lesson .... take their Freestyle Daily with them or at least take a photo of the Port Agent Information section of the first page of the Daily. This is the first person to contact if you're running late as this person knows who to contact on the ship. And this person would stay on dock to meet with late arrivals and offer assistance where needed. In this case, according to the news report the couple got back to the dock and looked around and there were noone there.
  7. Hey - welcome to Bermuda! Joy was supposed to be docked at Heritage Wharf but what happened was, MSC Divina somewhat docked at Heritage Wharf instead of King's Wharf as scheduled last Saturday and it caused a "domino effect". NCL Gem docked at King's Wharf on Sun-Tues (instead of Heritage), and MSC Meraviglia docked at Heritage yesterday until tomorrow, instead of King's. But all is not lost .... we have SailGP here in the Great Sound on Saturday/Sunday May 4/5, and there are some sailboats out training/practicing. Here is the screenshot of Joy's webcam - great place to watch the practices is from OL. Pity there isn't a bar there. ENJOY Bermuda!!
  8. Just don’t fly to the port on the day of cruise, regardless. If they had flown the day before, they’d have gotten their luggage before they boarded the ship on the next day. Last June we flew from Anchorage - Seattle - Charlotte - Bermuda (home) and one out of our 3 bags got left behind in Charlotte - didn’t make it on to the plane though we had a 4 hours layover! The missing bag was then flown to JFK to meet the last evening flight to Bermuda and it was delivered to us the following morning.
  9. They booked 2 weeks ago but the sail date is June 14 which isn’t within the 14 days ….
  10. This is the rule, plain and simple, sorry. We had a price drop a month after final payment and received FCC. Now, it's a month before cruise there's another price drop, but we're SOL as the post payment due price drop FCC can be given only once. 'Tis life.
  11. It depends … actually the correct answer is usually 30 minutes before departure if the ship is docked, 1 hour if ship is anchored and tenders.
  12. We had similar C_F while on Viva TA (westbound) and stopped in St. Thomas. There were too few CBPs for the # of pax.
  13. Don’t worry. Take whatever you want.
  14. Looks like Key West is now limiting # of ships/passengers.
  15. They need to read the contract (aka small print). All cruise lines do change itineraries, not just NCL. We have had ours changed a few times. 🤷‍♀️ Falmouth has a gated compound area with shops and eateries for cruise ship pax.
  16. When you booked the excursions before the cruise you were charged the excursion price less the $50 credit. On board when an excursion is cancelled the full price is refunded to your OBA, and then the $50 credit is reversed on the OBA.
  17. Great review and photos, love the Random Observations! Suggest you have the pistachio martini as your nightcap rather than the espresso one! Save the latter as your morning joe … to wake you up more! Enjoy the rest of you pond crossing.
  18. Righto!! Our two b2b Gem Panama Canal cruises go to different ports each leg, so basically our cruise is a 18 day long one visiting 10 ports, plus an overnight in Panama City!! Also, Christmas decorations galore on the Gem!
  19. That's exactly what we're doing on the Gem in Dec 2024. Miami to Panama City and back to Miami, b2b.
  20. The Upgrade Advantage is 3rd party - outside NCL’s jurisdiction.
  21. That's good to hear! Mykonos and Santorini have been added - it's good that you're going in May - before the height of tourist (and ships) season! As for Alexandra overnight can you check out the NCL excursions to see if there's one for Cairo overnight. We took one (yes, pricy, but for our own safety) and it was fantastic - they took us to many sights over the two days and put us up in fantastic hotel on the Nile. Funnily enough so many people booked that excursion and it resulted in 9 coaches. But it was fantastic - we even had an armed guard (in suit) with us on the coach. I'm not so sure about the train .... but if it were us we'd take the NCL excursion over going on our own. ENJOY!!
  22. Following .... You sure took a big risk in flying in on the day of cruise, and a long journey to boot. We were on the Epic 3x, once in 2010 (Caribbean), again in 2011 (westbound TA) and again in 2012 (also wb TA). Loved the ship at the time, but stopped once we discovered the Breakaway class ships. Maybe one day we might return to Epic, but don't know. ENJOY!!
  23. There's no 15 drinks a day package on NCL 😄
  24. Expect an itinerary change email from NCL (if not a cancellation one) for your May 7-18, 2025 cruise. This cruise also includes Egypt. The next two cruises (May18-27 and May27-June6) disembarks & embarks in Haifa.
