  1. Post #4 on this thread has new itinerary….
  2. Remember, both rooms may not be allocated to the same muster station, so each room aka one adult & one child need to go to one and the other room to the other muster station.
  3. @David Res Welcome to CC! Yes, it is strongly recommended to obtain the visa even though you'll be arriving in Brazil on the 8th April. I would not want to be denied boarding the Star (by the way it's Norwegian STAR, not Sky). You require an eVisa and you can apply online: [Official] Brazil Evisa | Tourist eVisa (vfsevisa.com) ENJOY! P.S. I agree with @complawyer
  4. She docked 13:00 UTC on Monday Feb 26, which is 5pm local time.
  5. I can see the ships docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard from our place across the Great Sound. NCL usually dock their ships at Heritage Wharf. On some occasions a NCL ship would be docked at Kings Wharf. And it's crapshoot as to which side the ships (not just NCL ships, but all ships) dock - port side or starboard side - it's up to the captain or weather or lifeboat maintanence. Bermuda is a favourite port for the crew if their ship is docked for overnight or more. 2023 it was about 50:50 for the Joy and also the Pearl, the two NCL weekly callers.
  6. OP cancelled their cruise and some land-based NCL personnel told them they'd have their CNs back to their NCL account, so they sent off insurance claim for the cruise value less the value of the CNs. Turns out the NCL personnel wasn't correct, so the OP lost the value of the CNs. Bottom line, the CNs become non-returnable after the final payment due date. OP, I'm sorry to hear about your woes, hopefully you'll be able to get the CNs back somehow. Others: when sending off insurance claim, claim for full value, and remember the CNs will not be returned.
  7. When we had to cancel our July 2019 cruise a week before the sailing date due to severe medical complications we just gave the amount we wanted to claim .... after all the port fees, taxes, excursions, DSCs, gratuities were refunded to us. The amount consisted of the cruise fares less the insurance. We had paid the cruise using two CNs valued $250 each (but had paid $250 for both), and when we got the claim back the $500 was included, not $250. Bottom line, when you cancel the cruise you claim the full value of the cruise fare, not the value less the CNs. You get your CNs back if you cancel the cruise before the final payment due date, but not after the due date where you lose the deposit that was paid by the CNs.
  8. Yes, but be aware that the 10 ft standalone cord will not suffice in a lot of cabins. I bring a 15 ft simple extension cord along with the 5 ft CPAP cord. https://www.amazon.com/GoGreen-Power-GG-24815-Household-Extension/dp/B00NY34JG6/ref=sr_1_29?crid=1D7LZOKYVAUOR&keywords=15%2Bft%2Bextension%2Bcord&qid=1708332360&sprefix=15%2Bft%2B%2Caps%2C217&sr=8-29&th=1 Also bring plug adapters as you might need to plug into the 220v power outlet, freeing up the 120v ones for other needs. https://www.amazon.com/6-Pack-European-Adapter-Converter-Germany/dp/B09NTCSCHH/ref=sr_1_22?crid=1T8UH82HYIXBB&keywords=plug%2Badapter%2Beurope&qid=1708332814&sprefix=plug%2Badapter%2Beurope%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-22-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1
  9. Longer port times if doing Jewel b2b. Last year we did Spirit b2b from Seward. We started with 3 days in Alaska pre-cruise which consisted of an overnight in Anchorage, fantastic train to Seward, a 7.5 hour Kenai Fjord cruise with Major Marine and 2 nights in delightful Seward. Boarding the ship in Seward was the easiest ever! Glad we decided to start/end in Seward rather than in Vancouver.
  10. We’ve been on all 4 … As we’re retired, we edge toward the Joy, Escape, Breakaway, Encore in this order … we go for aft Spice H2O, Obs Lounge. We do not care for the Galaxy Pavilion or Laser Tag or Go Karts.
  11. Sorry to see that your time in Antarctica has been cut short by a day .... it's Mother Nature. Very high surf/waves (30+ ft) coming to the region and I think the captain has made the call to zoom out and head to Falklands a day early for the safety of all on board. At least you're in Falklands longer. Enjoy the penguins and the islands. Then you'll be sailing back to BA in calm seas. We had the same misfortune in July 2022 when we were on Star Greenland & Iceland but did Norway & Iceland instead because of some storm and high surf brewing up in the sea between Iceland and Greenland. It broke our (and others') hearts as Greenland was on our bucket list. But we had a good time visiting Norway. Current: Tomorrow noon (projected): Wed noon (projected): Thurs noon (projected): windy.com and select Waves. Be safe.
  12. Last call for disembarkation is 9:30-10:30 am, first new passengers could board as early as 11:00-11:30 am. The latter is when the pools open. They don't want the disembarking passengers to use the pools.
  13. $10 per day, no thanks! Our cell provider does the same but we found Airalo to be much cheaper!!
  14. Won’t work when at sea. We use Airalo and it works only when in ports.
  15. According to cruisemapper Joy is in calm seas and on full throttle at 25 knots!
  16. They'll have over 24 hours to provision the stores on ship for the 11 days voyage!!
  17. Currently Joy should be wet within the next two days so she can head to Southampton for the Feb 13 TA cruise to Miami.
  18. We were in 8094 - sorry I can't help. When's your cruise? Perhaps you can ask to switch cabins as long as it's the same category. Hopefully it's better to be above the Bliss Lounge than be under? Can someone else chime in?
  19. You need to log into your hubby’s account to apply HIS 10% FCC to his fare. Another thing, you need to make sure your hubby’s latitude number is identical on both the cancelled cruise and new cruise bookings.
  20. @Anoynmous Phoenix email sent .... Cheers, 👋
  21. Don’t forgo! This steal is too d@mn good to lose! Can you postpone the knee replacement surgery and still go on those special cruises on the special Spirit with a firm knee brace that you can put around the knee? It will greatly help. I’ll send you a pic of the brace as it greatly helps me. I’ll search for your email addy.
  22. For which ship? The Star or Prima? The Star was able to anchor and tender to Isafjordur all along. It's just the Prima that has not seen Isafjordur.
