@Saint Greg please listen to me, you do have 3 (three) specialty dining, according to your cruise card! The dining reservation desk in the Atrium have the menus of all specialty restaurants on display for you to see. They do not change like the MDR (Main Dining Room) do daily. The 3 specialty dining “vouchers” that you have can be used in the following restaurants: Le Bistro, Cagney’s, Teppanyaki, Sushi, La Cucina. Look at the menus at the reservation desk and decide.

Go to the Internet Manager when he/she's in - they should be able to tweak your iPhone to get the App working correctly and place an icon on your screen so you can access to it easily. That truly helped us when we did not get the App to work properly on the first day aboard the ship. I also have an iPad, and he was able to get the iPad working and I was able to switch between the two without issues.

We like to pass $1 (or $2) to bartender when handing over our card when getting drinks.

Have you been down to Deck 6 mid-ship? That's where the "Bar Central" is. 3 bars there. Two of them opens at noon, but the casino (next door) bar is open now (since 9 am, when the casino opens).

We’ve been on all NCL ships except Sky and Prima, and also the new Viva. We chose to bypass Prima to go on the Viva for our Transatlantic in Nov. Each ship has its pros and cons, but we will still cruise any ship if the itinerary is good!

The special 2 extra dining pkg upgrade and the FAS+ upgrade pkg aren’t combinedable - when you bought the FAS+ pkg the former pkg is nullified (and monies refunded or brought into the latter). Happened to me when I cheekily bought the 2 special first and waited a week before buying the FAS+ upgrade for our 11day transatlantic on Viva in Nov. Didn’t work, so I ended up buying 2 extra at regular price. if you need more, you can purchase them on board. But check out the MDR first - they’re often good.

I think you're supposed to check-in at train station an hour before departure. So they can take your bag and check you in and give you ticket with seat number. It's like checking in and boarding a flight.

I would suggest you do the Briksdal Glacier with Troll cars. When Greenland was switched to Norway on our July 2022 Star cruise, the Shore Ex offered limited excursions at a very short time and sold out fast, but I was able to snag a noon tour from an excursion center in the white building on the right as I exited the ship. That tour was one of the best excursions I'd ever been on. Yvonne, your Dad would have loved this excursion as riding on the Troll car was great fun. That included a short hike to the glacier viewing point. I managed to complete the hike with my bum knee. Next time we go to Olden I'm going to drag DH on that excursion (he missed it as he broke some toes falling down stairs on the very first evening of the cruise!!).

No Rain Gear???? Good luck! By the way, there are lots of great rain wear to be sold in the Ward Cove cruise terminal at Ketchikan - at reasonable prices.

Do you have the surgery date? I think you need it for insurance - if it takes place before your cruise date.
