  1. We were on the April 30 sailing of Wonder, had the Unlimited Dining Pkg and experience not so great food at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen (x2) and Wonderland. We even spoke with the Chef in Giovanni's the 1st time (cold, bland food) and 2nd time when Lasanga was served in a very shallow dish with one (1) Lasagna noodle. Contrast that experience with the one we had on Odyssey of the Seas in October where all dining was very good.
  2. Booked a 6 nt all included cruise yesterday. I called today to upgrade the drink pkg and was told $15/day with 15% discount for loyalty status. Since cruise was in a group all included hadn't been added in yet. TA did that and I called back. Agent I got this time said: 1. $20 day plus 20% gratuity 2. 15% discount 3. and the kicker - will be charged for 7 days (cruise is 6 nights) I asked to speak to a Supervisor - agent put me on hold and spoke to Supervisor and relayed that yes it was $20/day and 20% gratuity. No mention of 7 days until I asked what Supervisor said about that - then agent said "in this case it's 6 as the cruise is 6 nights". Vent over and I'll call back again..........
  3. Depending on the # of Pinnacles onboard there may not be a breakfast in CHOPS. We were on for the April 30 cruise with 59 Ps and breakfast was in CK on deck 17....not CHOPS.
  4. This is one reason we prefer the Suite experience on Celebrity and have enjoyed sailing in a Sky Suite. JS on RCI are "suites" in name only.
  5. Pricing in pic for Navigator Sept 27, '23. GS $6641.10 for 2 people - not a deal IMHO.
  6. Is that an update from the earlier announcement today as the 1st Celebrity announcement I saw didn't address NRD deposit.
  7. But, so far, you can choose a refundable or non-refundable deposit on Celebrity...unlike RCI...where deposits are now non-refundable for a JS.
  8. Agee....We were recently on Wonder April 30 and in Wonderland not once, not twice but three times the server mentioned about the survey - said it was her bread and butter and the importance of a 10. We know that it's important but don't want to be bugged/reminded about it. That wasn't the only place the survey was mentioned either. The Restaurant Mgr stopped by and I mentioned it to him. In the past the survey has asked is anyone talked to you about the survey or told you want to mark but this survey did not have that so I mentioned it in the comments.
  9. We've given our steward beer, wine, soda, water but would never think of it as part of their tip.
  10. Can you clarify? I know when you're pricing a cruise you can see if you qualify for "special rates" like Residency, Military, Senior, Police/Fire/EMT but thought it was a rate, not a discount.
  11. Curious if others have used either Uber or Lyft to go from Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral area on a Saturday night....about 7pm and could share their experience. Is it easy to get picked up at the airport? I ask as sometimes it's hard to get a pickup if there isn't much return business for the driver. TIA....
  12. Hoping to get the SL Concierge email for Wonder of the Seas. TIA...
  13. Prices weren't increased - What happened was a Fuel Surcharge was added to all bookings.
  14. We were proponents of MTD from it's inception until recently. The change to 6:45 start time (after 1st seating) was a game changer for us as we were always in a line to get in (reservations or not) and many nights did not get seated until well after 7pm. They want to seat you with the same waiter/same table and.....if the early seating people at that table linger.....you have to wait. I get the rationale behind having the same table/same wait team but think MTD would work better if you got the 1st available table. We're not fans of dining at 5pm but will choose that over MTD now.
  15. If you use a TA make sure they're aware of the discounts you might be eligible for like Senior, Police/EMT, Military and State
  16. One would think that RCI could run a program and cull the data they need. It's like with the Loyalty Levels. All people want to know is how many have achieved a certain status.....like Pinnacle. Not how many are current but how many reached that milestone. I think when they give out #s it's purely a guesstimate but shouldn't be difficult to do.
  17. Another thought is no double points for solos who are only paying 150%. It you're paying 200% it makes some sense but not at 150%....which you get (with a few restrictions) at the 340 point level.
