  1. Don't bring spray cans as spray cans aren't allowed.
  2. That is good. I learnt the difference on prices of cruises and travel insurance when my daughter lived in London. I can't believe before that I just paid the brochure price, with no offer of OBC.
  3. No, both groups were only doing the 5 day cruise to Tangalooma. I'm hoping the weather will be nice for them, Two were young children looking forward to feeding the dolphins. I was surprised at their bravery travelling on a bus with so much luggage.
  4. Yes Monday forecast is best day of the week. Perfect for the last day of your cruise.
  5. QM2 Balconies - Perusing balconies on offer, only sheltered balconies and obstructed balconies are available on the current Australian cruise. Could anyone who has cruised on QM2 comment on its balconies. The sheltered balconies looked to me like ocean view with a window cut in the wall? Is this a correct assumption? Can you see the water from a chair on obstructed view balconies?
  6. Next Monday is the only fine day forecast during the next week. Enjoy!
  7. I can't think of anyone who deserves a deal for loyalty more! It usually takes "no single supplement" to entice me. I thought there would be more temptation following Covid. "
  8. I've got a couple of those medium size suitcases on excellent spinning wheels. One opens flat half and half, the other opens with top slightly narrower. I prefer the latter. I agree it impossible to overpack them. I never want to see my port open with the contents spread out!
  9. Wow I'm impressed. Did you get a tempting deal for your loyalty or have you taken up gambling?
  10. Don't we all. Sydney is cold and wet in October.
  11. Smart idea. Suggest everyone does that who departs from an overseas port on a cruise bought in Australia. As I hate tipping with a passion, I paid my tip to the purser on a French ship on boarding. I had trouble convincing a young girl that I had paid. She had taken it upon herself to educate me on their tipping custom. The girl, who was with her got the message quicker than she did, and discretely checked at the Pursers Office.
  12. I meant that was my observation, as she could leave home for the cruise terminal, at short notice. Most Americans only get a fortnight holiday!
  13. That is an interesting observation. Maybe they were testing the wind. Someone should tell them Aussies hate the American tipping custom. You don't need to tip to be a kind, generous people!
  14. I suspected that was the case as I knew of someone who got a free cruise in the USA, because she liked to gamble and lived close to where cruises departed.
  15. Are you experiencing good weather with sunshine and smooth seas. Sydney is currently cold and wet.
  16. Oh yes I'd forgotten about that. I also understand about the very intimidating atmosphere with regard to solo females. What I can't understand. We cruised business with Royal Brunei (which I love), when they brought on four women (two older and two younger), after everyone else, with a male steward in cabin. The young ones whipped off their full covering and experimented with their perfume and make up purchases, whilst one of the older ladies took off her top covering to eat. The other had total covering with mesh over her mouth. She didn't remove a thing but managed to eat.
  17. I thought I read proud publicity at the time that the airport rail line had been paid off.
  18. Yes, $15 of the $30 was the charge for travel and entry into the airport, which is a rip off since the airport was paid off.
  19. If you don't get your special rate, I suspect Seniors wouldn't be able to get the Seniors $2.50 daily rate just the adult rate.
