What a beautiful gift for your grandson! Ask him does he know about the Aussie sticks with the bottle tops on top? I don't know the name, but was shown a couple in a private home in Newfoundland, Canada and at the Ozark Folk Centre in Arkansas.
Just love it when captains open up the bow for passengers to better enjoy the experience. I'm surprised you enjoyed smooth weather conditions after all the bad weather publicity in that area. Enjoy Eden on a picture perfect morning.
Do you think that cruise may have been more successful if it was a council ferry? I thought it was rather expensive seeing you had to cart your own luggage.
There are frequent bus services on the main road. We used to walk from Drummoyne, past turnoff to Whites Bay, then past the small ship terminal (now Barangaroo), along the waterfront to Circular Quay. It was a lovely walk without luggage.
Yes I'll do some research. It is particularly annoying because travel insurance is so expensive here. I learnt that when I used to travel overseas with my daughter who lived in London at the time. The credit cards don't advertise widely that they provide insurance cover. I knew Americans didn't take out insurance for rental car insurance claims, like we do here, because they were covered. Often the insurance was more than the cost of the car rental. More recently, our travel insurance includes an amount for rental car accident claims.
Thanks Great news that you are eligible. Does Commonwealth Bank Mastercard have insurance cover? I let my other bank credit card lapse when they started charging, which was a big mistake. I had no idea you couldn't get a new credit card once you retired.
Before Covid, travel insurance was provided with all my UK small ship cruises. There were two policies - one was if you had a package like a cruise and a flight. From memory, they were Government policies, so I had confidence in them.
You may find closer to the 6th Feb, Carnival may have special upgrade deals for Luminosa. I receive circulars offering me upgrades and I'm sailing on 4/12. Hopefully covid spread will have eased by Feb.
Did you buy direct? If not ask the person you booked through to keep an eye out for you. How long until your cruise? People have to cancel for all sorts of reasons. Good Luck!
Oh dear, I hope the ship can avoid the worst of the wild east coast weather. I'm not familiar with following the seas in the Tasman.
I've been following the weather up north. Darwin has had above average rainfall. Seems the monsoons are forecast to start early this year, to be followed by cyclones.
Following a Supreme Court decision, NZ Cabinet will draft legislation to lower the voting age to 16.
I wonder if this will have flow on ramifications in the future?
(Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Malta and Scotland already allow voting at 16.)
Thank you That is interesting design Is it popular? What kind of music does the piano player play?
I have been on cruises where some passengers attend the Piano Bar every night.
