We have been on numrous NCL cruises and always enjoyed them. We especially like the different foods offered in the buffet - Indonesian etc. A nice change from regular buffet food. We just booked another NCL cruise for November and they offered the "Have it all" package. What I find a little annoying is the service charge we have to pay to use it. For the beverage package the added on service charge for the 2 of us for 17 days in about $800. Not exactly "free at sea" and another thing that bothers me is that cappucino or latte are not included in the package. I think we will decline the beverage package. We don't drink $23 each per day so its not worth it to us.

We were going to pay about $700+ for the drinks package (the service charge) for our 17 day cruise but now that I know that cappucino is not included in the drinks package I think I will cancel the "free" drinks package. We are not big drinkers (we do like cappucino) so I don't think it's worth paying about $22 each per day in service charges. Some port days we might have one drink and a couple of cappacino so it's better to just pay as we go.

Anyone I know who goes to Pipi's enjoys it. It is very touristy but fun and different. If you go into the romantic zone a good place for lunch or dinner would be Adobe's. Not as much fun as Pipi's but good food and value. You will get much better deal paying with pesos so do get pesos to pay for items you plan to purchase.

We will be on the Oosterdam on Nov. 15th.

We often fly in the day before but for this cruise we have a direct flight to FLL and there would be other flights that could get us to FLL for the cruise. We have 6 hours between the flight arriving and the ships departure so a little leeway in case the flight is late arriving in FLL.

We are going to the port area from the airport direct. (No hotel stay).

We won't have any cell phone service with our Canadian cell phone. We would like to use Uber to get to the port from the Fort Lauderdale airport but can't use our cell phone. Is there any way to use Uber without a cell phone or should we get a taxi to the port? Any info appreciated.

Except in Puerto Vallarta they don't have any metal dividers so it's a free for all and no order to the lines. You don't even know what the lines are for and there's nobody to ask. (We go every year for past 30+ years so we know that airport very well.)

I agree with you about how cold the ships are. I wish it would be warmer.

I have a mobility scooter and I think the power worked above the desk when I was charging my battery during the night. We would plug it in before going to bed and during the night when I got up to use the bathroom the battery would be charged so I would unplug it. I am surprised by your comment that the power does not work when the lights are off. I did not find that on other ships we have been on, HAL and Azamara etc.

I sure can relate to your forbidding your husband to wash any of your clothing. My husband throws fuzzy towels in with black pants and blouses and it takes me hours to get the fluff off the black clothing. I now do my own loads!

We have owed shares for many years and every year they have renewed the shareholder benefit. I used to mail it via the post but would rather send it via e-mail.

I have a paper showing I own the stock. Do I have to mail it or can it be sent via e-mail? I could take a picture with my phone and send that in an e-mail or have someone help me to scan it and send it. Any advice on what is the best way?

Just be sure to write it clearly on the laundry form what you want done - i.e. , not heat or cold water, etc. They seem to follow those instructions very well.

We are 4* and sent laundry out numerous times on the past few cruises and I wrote on the laundry slip for low heat etc. and had no problems with anything. They sent it back looking very good and no shrinkage or problems. It sure is a nice perk!
